Who is this workshop for?
Independent schools that are inspected by Ofsted. This workshop is for school leaders.
Background
A significant number of independent schools are failing to get a positive outcome during standard Ofsted inspections. For these schools, bouncing back is difficult – statistics show that when these schools are inspected again, the majority fail to demonstrate improvement.
According to the latest Ofsted statistics:
37% of schools that had a standard Ofsted inspection between 1 September 2020 and 31 July 2021 were awarded grade 3 or 4
51% of those that had a progress monitoring inspection during the same period failed to demonstrate that they had addressed previously un-met standards.
For this reason, we have put together a guidance document which we share freely with independent schools - its about how to bounce back after a poor inspection outcome. We have now decided to deliver a training workshop to support school leaders more effectively in an environment where we can have discussions, share more insights and draft an action plan to help them recover from after a poor Ofsted inspection outcome.
What will be covered?
What to expect after getting a poor Ofsted inspection outcome
Compiling the DfE action plan - the facilitator will work with school leaders to develop a draft of the action plan
Keeping tabs on the other standards
