Kids in Museums: young trustees information session 2026

Wednesday 4 March, 6-7pm

Kids in Museums is currently recruiting two Young Trustees aged 18-25 to join our Board.

Fewer than 1% of charity trustees are under the age of 30. If you’re interested in making museums more relevant to young people, learning new transferable skills and building your professional network, being a Young Trustee could be a great opportunity for you.

This free informal information session aims to provide more information about our work, the role of our Board and the support and development opportunities available for Young Trustees.

In this session, you can:

hear more about Kids in Museums programmes, our impact and how we work with wider museum sector,

learn more about the role of a Trustee and what types of things you might do with fellow Trustees and members of the Kids in Museums team,

hear from a former Young Trustee to find out about the support available and what you’ll learn from the role,

ask any questions you may have about becoming a Trustee at Kids in Museums.

This session will be one hour long and delivered on Zoom.

Who should attend?

This session is for anyone who is interested in becoming a Young Trustee at Kids in Museums. To be a Young Trustee you must be aged 18-25 and based in the UK.
