Teaching Assistants offers a unique dynamic within the classroom, one that extends beyond the traditional teacher-student dynamic. Teaching assistants have the capacity to offer personalized support and guidance, catering to the diverse needs of individual learners. This also instills confidence in students. They also understand a student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles which allows them to tailor their support accordingly.
Yes, teaching assistants can teach classes, but there is a catch. They have to be qualified as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). They can teach classes, teach pre-planned lessons, and cover for the absences of teachers.
