About Isle of Axholme and Hatfield Chase Landscape Partnership
The Isle of Axholme and Hatfield Chase (IoAHC) is a Landscape Partnership scheme funded by the National Lottery’s Heritage Fund and delivered over a 6 year period between July 2016 and June 2022. Landscape partnerships aim to make a difference to how people perceive, appreciate and care for distinctive landscapes across the UK. North Lincolnshire Council led on the delivery of the IoAHC Landscape Partnership. However many partners were involved in delivering individual projects and the continuing legacy. The IoAHC Landscape Partnership was awarded £1.84m from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery players, taking the total Programme funding to just over £3m. A total of 21 projects were delivered, up from the original 16 included in the Landscape Conservation Action Plan (LCAP). A summary of each project can be found on our project pages, with context and finer detail found in the LCAP document itself. Engagement with residents has been key throughout the Scheme, with our main aim being to reconnect local people with their unique landscapes and cultural heritage.
