About Gurdjieff Studies
In 1912 an extraordinary man appeared in Moscow, bringing with him an unknown teaching about Man’s place and his possibilities. His name was George Ivanovitch Gurdjieff. Leaving Russia with a number of his pupils during the revolution, he eventually settled in France, situating his Institute for the Harmonious Development of Man at the Prieuré, Fontainebleau-Avon.
