1. Outline the normal parameters for Blood pressure, Pulse, Temperature, Oxygen saturations and Respiration rate
2. List the steps for taking an individual's Blood pressure, Pulse, Temperature, Oxygen saturations and Respiration rate
3. Discuss nationally available Early Warning Systems and Individual care plans and parameters
4. Summarise SEPSIS and Acute Illness recognition
Course Objectives:
1. Recognise the significance of physiological observations: Understand the vital role that physiological observations play in assessing patients' health, detecting changes, and ensuring timely interventions.
2. Learn about key physiological parameters: Familiarize yourself with essential parameters such as heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, temperature, and oxygen saturation.
3. Acquire skills in accurate measurement: Develop hands-on skills in accurately measuring and recording physiological observations using appropriate techniques and equipment.
4. Understand normal ranges and variations: Gain knowledge about normal ranges for different age groups and variations influenced by factors like age, gender, and underlying health conditions.
