About Drama Association of Wales
Founded in 1934 and registered as a Charity in 1973, Drama Association of Wales exists to create opportunities for people to become actively involved in theatre activities which are rewarding, fun and of a high standard. The Association boasts membership from across Wales, throughout the United Kingdom and internationally, many of whom have been valued members and journeyed with us throughout the years. Our members include amateur and professional theatre practitioners, playwrights, amateur drama groups, teachers, academics, schools, colleges and universities, anyone who has an interest in drama. We offer a wide and varied range of services to Drama in the Community. About Us Training in many aspects of theatre, including annual Summer School Festivals – DAW plays an active role as part of the United Kingdom Community Drama Festivals Federation (UKCDFF) with seven regional festivals held throughout Wales between March and May.
