About Devon Wildlife Trust
In late September, the UK Government started an Attack on Nature; lifting the ban on fracking in England, introducing a new UK-wide Bill to remove environmental protections and 'reviewing' support for nature-friendly farming. Nature is still under threat. The Retained EU Law Bill seeks to reform and revoke hundreds of laws which protect wild places and ensure standards for water quality, pollution and the use of pesticides. We’re asking the UK Government to prioritise nature and tackle climate crisis by: Scrapping the Retained EU Law Bill Supporting farmers to restore nature Pushing for a global deal to halt and reverse nature loss at COP15 We need to make it clear to our MPs that people want to see nature protected. Healthy wildlife and a thriving environment are the answer to many of the challenges we're trying to tackle today. They are not burdens. Ask your MP to #DefendNature
