About Derwent Training Association
Derwent Training Association exists for the sole purpose of delivering engineering training. Founded in 1988 by employers, it has fulfilled that objective for over 30 years. Based in Malton, North Yorkshire, Derwent Training Association recruits and trains apprentices for approximately 100 employers across the region. In 2019-20 our timely achievement for Engineering Apprenticeships were well above the national average: 76% timely achievement for Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeships (15 points above the national average) 71% timely achievement for Level 2 Fabrication and Welding (9 points above the national average) Engineering and Manufacturing remains a local priority area for the York and North Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership, and Derwent Training is committed to delivering on this priority. Our Mission is to provide excellent training for the benefit of employers. Our Vision is delivering skills training to improve engineering and leadership in North Yorkshire.
