Weekly Lindy Hop Classes & Last Tuesday of Month Social Swing Dance! Learn to Lindy Hop - the grand-daddy of all the Swing dances at the Curzon Centre, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire! Have fun, get fit and learn to dance! Taught by Simon Selmon, bringing over 40 years of experience learning from many original masters of the dance.
For those with some experience in latte art or needing a refresher, our Latte Art Improvers Workshop is a two-hour session where you'll brush up on your skills. We'll cover finer points of latte art for baristas or coffee enthusiasts who feel confident about pouring a heart and are ready to try some more intermediate patterns such as tulips and rosettas. The course is a hands-on, practical experience where you will work alongside Benny, an experienced speciality coffee barista, to learn all about latte art and up your game. You'll learn tips behind getting perfectly-textured milk, watch demonstrations and then use our top-quality equipment to have plenty of goes yourself at pouring patterns, with constant feedback and guidance. We also specifically cater towards non-dairy milk drinkers too, so please let us know in advance whether you would like to learn with oat milk or dairy by entering it in your booking notes. Three hour masterclass If you don't have any experience in latte art and want to start from scratch, we also run a 3-hour 'masterclass' which is perfect if you want a more comprehensive session. The Spanglish club is for all people wanting to improve their Spanish outside of a class room. Depending on numbers, there are going to be groups of max 6 people, the group will be Beginners (A2), Intermediate and Advance. Each group will have a Spanish native speaker who can help you with your Spanish :) We will first meet our table amig@s and socialise, then we will make a fun and interesting activity for you to have a better Spanish speaking experience. Please book only if you are 100% sure to attend as there will be other Spanglishers waiting for you. Where? Time? Barista Skills teaches the essential practical skills needed behind the espresso bar, such as how to set your grinder, make espresso, foam and texture milk for cappuccinos, and create latte art, as well as an exploration of health and safety issues, customer service protocols, and basic business practices. The Barista Skills Intermediate course builds on the concepts and skills introduced in the Foundation course. It is ideal for someone who has barista skills experience and wants to explore how to improve coffee quality and prepare for more complex job functions found in the barista profession. Through this interactive course, learners will gain a deeper understanding of the coffee itself, specifically, the impact of a coffee’s variety, origins and processing methods on flavour; the parameters of coffee quantity, grind texture, water quality, and shot time and their interaction when dialling in a brew recipe; drink construction and taste differences; workflow management and efficiency, sensory aspects of the espresso extraction; milk handling and techniques as well as latte art. In addition to coffee preparation, this course also covers key concepts regarding health and safety, customer service, and basic business practices. A written exam tests Intermediate course knowledge, while a practical exam assesses the learner’s ability in terms of grinder calibration, espresso extraction analysis, latte art skills and drinks construction.
