Many of our courses are monitored by external organisations, including Awarding Organisations(including, Occupational Award, City & Guilds, and Pearsons) Education and Skills Funding Agency, Matrix and Ofsted. An important step forward came in August 1998, when the company became an approved Provider for Apprenticeships. Since that day, Didac is now at the pinnacle of training provision within the furniture, wood and merchanting sectors, with funding flexibities, opportunities and accreditations. Initially providing services to CNC machine users, Didac has expanded to offer a wide range of training and consultancy services and pride themselves on keeping abreast of the latest requirements and opportunities presented in the world of learning. Jon Gibson, Didac’s Managing Director, was himself an apprentice working within the industry, before becoming a lecturer at Brunel College in Bristol from 1989-1995. Commercial Director Martin James was an undergraduate trainee with G Plan Furniture becoming a Chartered Engineer, before moving into CNC router machine manufacture. Didac draws on an experienced team of trainers and assessors who are experts in all areas of delivery, all who have worked in industry as part of their working life. Didac enjoy close working relationships with all the major industry and regulatory bodies, including a large number of trade associations, machine and tooling manufacturers and the HSE.

teve England Outdoor Learning was founded by Steve England, Conservation Educator, Horticulturist and Historian. Steve has extensive experience of working with schools, community and youth groups across Bristol to engage young (and older) people in outdoor learning and has worked in Stoke Park Estate for more than 40 years. Steve is a multi-award winning outdoor learning professional whose work is well-respected in Bristol and Nationally. Steve England Dogs In 2013, Steve was inducted into the Bristol Walk of Fame at Bristol Zoo in recognition of his work as a local conservation educator. In the same year, Steve was runner up in the UK’s ‘Council for Learning outside the Classroom’s’ “Lifetime Contribution to LOtC” award. He was recently awarded the Avon & Somerset Police Commissioner’s ‘Pride Award’ for his work supporting young people with a wide range of previous skills and experience, and engaging young people in positive outdoor learning activities at Stoke Park Estate. Throughout 2015, Steve has been working with Avon Wildlife Trust on the ‘My Wild City Project’ which aims to turn the whole of Bristol into a nature reserve. Steve is one of the project’s ‘My Wild City Champions.’ Steve has spent his life working in Stoke Park Estate and the nearby Frome Valley, witnessing and contributing to many changes aimed at improving Bristol’s wildlife. Steve continues to volunteer at Stoke Park Estate, supporting Stoke Park Action Group and other community-based organisations to maintain and develop the park for the benefit of the wider community. This work was recently recognised by Bristol Natural History Consortium which awarded Steve ‘Bristol’s Green Volunteer of the Year,’ in recognition of his ongoing commitment to improving the natural environment.

Whether you are thinking of switching to a rebreather, looking for an advanced trimix course or just want to take advantage of the increased bottom times and increased safety of Nitrox diving then we have the course for you. We aim to provide the highest level of technical diving training. All courses are run by our resident Technical Instructor Mark Powell. Our standards are high and you know that when you are awarded your certification you can be sure you have earned it. We teach the full range of TDI courses up to Advanced Trimix Instructor which means that we can choose the best course to suit your needs. Courses include basic nitrox, advanced nitrox, decompression procedures and trimix. We also teach specific technical diving specialties such as twinset famillarisation, advanced buoyancy, DPV, decompression theory, deep rescue, oxygen admin and first aid. We are based in Chepstow but can travel anywhere in the UK to arrange a course to suit your needs. We are happy to work with diving clubs or shops and run courses at your club/shop if required.
