About this Training Course Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) offers opportunities to improve safety and efficiency in drilling, and it is increasingly recognised by operators and regulators. MPD aims to cost effectively resolve chronic drilling problems that contribute to non-productive time. In 1988, he joined Shell in in the Southern North Sea. In 1995, he joined Smedvig in Norway and worked on a number of deepwater wells as well as on underbalanced drilling operations. In 1999, he started Leading Edge Advantage in Aberdeen and worked in coiled tubing, underbalanced and managed pressure drilling. In 2004, he joined Weatherford as Regional Engineering Manager in Singapore and developed the first ultra deepwater MPD systems. In 2010, he joined SPT Group specializing in well control and hydraulics modelling. SPT Group was later acquired by Schlumberger in 2012. At Schlumberger, he was Drilling Adviser, with a focus on well control, relief well planning and MPD. During that time, he was also an instructor for NExT teaching numerous well engineering courses. In 2015, he joined Wild Well as Engineering Manager in Asia and in February 2017, he became an independent consultant concentrating on provision of drilling engineering training. He has written and presented numerous papers and authored several chapters in the SPE Advanced Technology books. He is an active committee member and speaker on numerous SPE Workshops around the world. About this Training Course  The prospect maturation process, from a lead to a drillable prospect, is at the heart of the exploration business. This 5 full day course will cover all aspects of the prospect maturation process: play understanding in the context of regional geological understanding, detailed prospect evaluation; realistic risk & volume assessment consistent with the play understanding and prospect details, and an introduction to exploration economics. Throughout the course, there is a strong focus on pragmatic (geo)logical approach for assessing those aspects that are input parameters for a meaningful assessment of prospect risks and volumes, with emphasis on a balanced integration of contributions from different sub-surface disciplines. Many examples from basins from around the world are used to illustrate how traps, reservoirs, seals and charge occur in different basin settings. Specifics topics that will be discussed include the following: The statistical fundamentals for risk and volume assessment will be presented, with practical exercises for understanding the results of a risk & volume assessment as they are displayed in expectation curves. The difference between risk and uncertainty. A full discussion of the essential requirements for a working petroleum system: Trap, reservoir, seal and charge. Examples of how traps, reservoirs, seals and charge work in different basin types around the globe and in Australian basins. Exercises and guidelines for estimating uncertainties for prospect parameters, including advice for deciding which distribution type to use, and how to constrain those distributions for meaningful uncertainty ranges (setting minimum most likely and maximum values). Particular emphasis will be given to estimating hydrocarbon column lengths with their associated uncertainties in undrilled prospects. Prospects and plays: The value of play maps and how these should be used for assessment of prospect risks and for ranking of prospects within a play. Calculating volume ranges for prospects. Calculating volumes for groups of prospects; how to add risked prospect volumes for a statistically correct representation of the volume promise of a portfolio of prospects. Geophysical evidence: Incorporating geophysical evidence (DHIs) consistently and realistically in a risk assessment. He was visiting professor at the University of Malaya (Malaysia). Grief gets stuck and like trauma, it is downloaded into our bodies, which stops the flow of our accurate present moment experiences, our access to Self-Energy and living freely. We are wired to connect and co-regulate to survive. Connection in community is no longer a priority in many societies today. We may have lost the sense of belonging that our ancestors once had, through living in community, in tribes and villages.  This 3-day retreat offers a unique space of holding for expressing the unexpressed, being witnessed, enabling each in their own way to be seen, heard and felt together in community. This is often our missing experience. We will be laying the ground for the expression and witnessing of grief in community, that which is deeply personal, yet universal. Our retreat is suitable for anyone with some familiarity with IFS either through your own personal work or professional practice.  The space will be held by Lynn Palethorpe, Sally Burke, Zandra Bamford and Becky Cresswell.  Lynn is a gentle and containing Approved IFS Consultant, Certified IFS Therapist (L3) and Clinical and IFS Supervisor. Alongside her private practice, she’s a Program Assistant on IFS trainings, Lecturer in Counselling and Reiki Practitioner. Sally works collaboratively and compassionately as an Integrative Psychotherapist, Certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist, IFS Certified Therapist, Approved Consultant with the IFS Institute and Reiki Practitioner. Zandra is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Approved IFS Consultant and Certified IFS Therapist with over 20 years experience working with complex trauma within a deeply compassionate and holistic approach. Becky, founder of GroundedPeace is a certified Sound Healing Practitioner and Teacher, Musician, Yoga Teacher and Reiki Healer.  * A retreat that offers a unique experience of expressing and witnessing our grief in community. * All parts are truly welcome and celebrated  * Discovering through rituals and sound how unexpressed grief may have kept us stuck in repeating patterns. * Befriending protectors through meditations and creative practices. * Ritual and release focusing on six gates of grief. * Exploring and expressing sorrow through sound, voice and movement. * Choice in how you wish to respond and take part (all parts are welcome). * Optional follow up group for further integration 12 weeks later. * Nutritious, balanced food catering to all dietary requirements.  There are two booking options available: with or without dinner and bed and breakfast (Thurs and Fri nights). Confined Space Risk Management and Permits - This course includes a basic level of confined space knowledge with the opportunity to use confined space equipment in a simulated environment and a team exercise of creating and reviewing a safe system of work. Note: A pre-requisite qualification is required to complete this course. Day 1 is a CS1 course and the Confined Space Risk Management (CSRM) can be completed as a 1 Day add-on.
