The INSTI HIV Self Test is a single use, rapid test used for the detection of antibodies to HIV in blood obtained through fingerprick collection. · Would you like to learn how to use this fabulous little magical test? · Does your practice use Insti tests to screen for HIV and you need to learn this easy skill? · Feeling a bit rusty-would you like to retrain and update your certificate? We are holding a 2 hour session looking at how to use the test and pathways of care for reactive tests. PLEASE NOTE: This is not full SHIP training- those courses are currently full. Session 1a: STI update for Practice Nurses & Nursing Associates Describe the clinical significance of STIs in general practice Outline strategies for STI testing in primary care, including which swabs to use and when Outline management of STIs in the GP setting, including partner notification guidance Describe patterns of STI risk, and prevention methods Session 1b: Talking with patients about sex Formulate and use strategies to bring up sexual health in GP consultations, including when people are not expecting it Demonstrate how to take a rapid sexual health risk assessment tailored for the primary care consultation Formulate clinical management plans drawing on rapid sexual health risk assessment Session 2: Blood borne virus update List the advantages of diagnosing HOV and viral hepatitis in general practice, and the dangers of late diagnoses Recognise the parallels between HIV and viral hepatitis Recognise HIV indicator conditions Overcome barriers to, and normalise, HIV and viral hepatitis testing in your clinical practice Each session provides you with up-to-date resources to take back to your practice to support your consultations.
TOPOGRAPHICAL MAP ROUTE PLANNING TRAINING You will use the appropriate software to learn how to plan map routes. We will train you on the routes that you will most likely be tested on in your assessment. Most of our training is provided one to one, so as to give you our undivided attention and prepare you to the best of your ability, thereby giving you the best chance of passing this test. TOPOGRAPHICAL MOCK TEST We will provide you with topographical multiple choice questions mock test based on the actual test questions, to best prepare you. You will use the actual ’Master Atlas of Greater London’ which TfL uses in their test, to best prepare you to answers the multiple choice questions.
