Francesca Wyllie (BA Hons Fine Art) has an amazing north-facing art studio at El Retiro in Andalucia, which was purpose-built to accommodate painting groups. Bespoke painting and sculpture workshops can be arranged or Francesca can travel locally to guide you in your own studios or locations.

We are beyond excited for our first-ever Arienas Collective exhibition! The exhibition is taking place in Scot-ART Gallery 1 on the 3rd floor of St Margaret’s House, 151 London Road, Edinburgh EH7 6AE from Saturday, 24 - Saturday, 31 May 2025 and is open from 11am-5pm each day. The exhibition is free to enter. You can find out more about the ‘For love or money?’ Exhibition 2025 theme, who will be exhibiting, and opportunities for meeting our creatives in person on our dedicated Exhibition 2025 page. We will be exploring how creatives balance making art they love with art they make a living from. The exhibition will feature original artworks alongside live demonstrations, tasters, workshops and talks. You will find a list of all the Exhibition Talks and Tasters below. The Talks usually last 30 mins, and the Tasters normally last an hour. Check the individual details for more information. There is a nominal fee of £5 towards the cost of materials payable for the Exhibition Tasters, and spaces are limited. The £5 is also fully redeemable against the purchase of a workshop space (collect your exhibition voucher at the end of your Exhibition Taster). Meet our creative team in person We know how much people love to meet exhibiting artists and makers in person, so as well as hosting Talks and Tasters, members of our lovely creative team will be working from the exhibition space throughout the exhibition. You can find out who is available, and when, on our Exhibition 2025 website page here. How to book a space on an Exhibition Talk or Taster All our Exhibition Talks and demos are free of charge. However, it would be helpful if you could book so that we have an idea of numbers. You can book your space using the booking links below - just select your choice of Talk or Taster and it will take you to the booking page. If it's already sold out, you can add your name to the waiting list. Our Exhibition Tasters have limited spaces. To secure your space we suggest booking in advance. Any remaining spaces will be made available to book on the day. Your booking includes free entry to the exhibition from 11am - 5pm, so you have plenty time to explore the exhibition! *If you are interested in turning your creative passion into a career, or are considering offering your own creative workshops, the talks marked with an asterisk may be of particular interest to you. **If you're visiting with children, the tasters marked with two asterisks may be of particular interest. We will also be running one or two creative workshops to let you discover the full Arienas Collective workshop experience: our focus on the well-being benefits of engaging in a creative activity; supporting you to release your inner creative; and teaching you skills and methods you can continue to do at home. Join artist Julie Galante for this in-person workshop, where we’ll take inspiration from the historic city of Edinburgh. Participants of all experience levels are welcome for this friendly, small-group experience.  We’ll start with some guided warm-up sketches before moving on to drawing exercises focused on composition, tone, and observation. By the end of the workshop you’ll feel more confident drawing your surroundings, no matter your previous drawing experience.  Please come dressed for the weather, ready to spend two hours outside. You may also want to bring along a folding stool or a rug to sit on while you draw (there will likely be benches available, but this is unpredictable).  Participants will also need to bring along some basic art supplies:  A sketchbook and/or some drawing paper and board (A4 or larger recommended) Various drawing pens and pencils Charcoal or graphite sticks An eraser Any other favourite art supplies that you may like to use I'll also have some supplies to hand for you to borrow or purchase (please let me know in advance if there's something in particular you need). Locations 22 July 2024: Princes Street Gardens 9 August 2024: St Bernard's Well and the Water of Leith Information about our precise meeting point will be circulated before the workshop.
