If you are looking for some inspiration, we have created a Pinterest board to help inspire some ideas. You will be provided with 1.2mm thick wire for your links. We work really hard to make sure our students love what they create, so if you have a chunkier design idea in mind, please get in touch as the material costs increase and it can be more difficult to create thicker links, so we just need to check it is achievable within the time frame. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None, all abilities are welcomed. We support you throughout the session and provide demonstrations to show you the techniques and steps needed to create your own chain bracelet from start to finish. Our small classes mean we are able to provide each student with the support they require. Students must be 16+ Students aged 14 or 15 are able to attend if accompanied by an adult. Always wanted to have a go at mosaic making? This might be the class for you! What to expect A brief introduction and demonstration on mosaic making using the Direct Method. Included will be how to use tile nippers, how to create shapes and an explanation of various andamento styles and how to grout. Please note that grouting will not be done in this class however you will receive a grout bag to take home with full instructions (including a video for reference). Who is this for? The Veterans Forge C.I.C was set up to help Veterans in the community get therapy via blacksmithing. We work with BLESMA, SSAFA ROYAL, BRITISH LEGION plus others, that include people with Autism and Aspergers. (this is NOT a boot camp), non-military instructors and guest blacksmiths. All are welcome. We have 1 to 3 plus instructors on-site to support you.
