This ONE-ONE 6 hour course introduces the fundamental principles of mig welding materials, tools, and techniques. This is a one day basic &nbsp;introduction to mig welding. Ideal for complete novice or beginner. You will learn how to set up your welding machine and the different types of welding joints.I have a background in education and training so this links into my past. I do have third party insurance covering all of the activities on offer.We can also advise on equipment choices for those who really get the welding bug! Design and create your own silver pendant with the help of Charlotte Anne Duckworth, the Bristol silversmith otherwise known as The Silver Duck. Charlotte has been teaching and hosting workshops since 2013. Come along, design and make your very own silver pendant in this three and a half hour workshop. In this workshop you will have the chance to design your own pendant and Charlotte will take you through the making process step by step. Either cutting out shapes from sheet silver or manipulating wire, you will make your pendant from start to finish.Designing and creating shapes using a piercing saw to cut out your design and finishing. You&#39;ll have the option to apply texture using hammers and stamps and will also get to try techniques like doming and forming to make 3D forms. In the process you&#39;ll discover how to solder on jump rings - and you&#39;re more than welcome to come along with your own design ideas. Charlotte encourages experimenting in copper before moving into the final design process.&nbsp;At the end of your experience you&#39;ll finish with a bespoke, handmade pendant, which Charlotte will have a silver chain for you to wear it from.&nbsp;If you are interested in a two to four person workshop, please do get in touch and Charlotte can arrange this for you.

At DOBA Studio, we offer workshops that focus on the importance of recycling plastic waste and turning it into beautiful pieces of art. Our artistic workspace specializes in using a combination of three portable and easy-to-use machines - a shredder, injection machine, and extruder - to create unique and eye-catching pieces that raise awareness about environmental issues.
WHAT TO DO WITH THE PLASTIC THAT ALREADY EXISTS?
Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists. You'll get to work with recycled plastic waste collected from the local community, giving you a hands-on experience in upcycling. Not only will you have the opportunity to create something beautiful, but you'll also be making a positive impact on the planet by reducing plastic pollution. 
During the workshop, you'll get to use all three machines and leave with a handmade souvenir of your choice. Whether it's a keychain turtle, hexagonal coaster, or soap dish, the possibilities are endless. Creativity is the limit!

In this hands-on workshops you'll learn how to make your own miso to take home with you, the ins and outs of koji (the mould used to make miso) and get to taste some fab ferments along the way! 
This will be a hands on class with each participant going home with their very own jar of handmade miso. We'll make miso together, talk through the magic of koji and explore different ways to make miso. Throughout the session you'll also try a range of different ferments showcasing just what fermentation can do.
WHAT DO YOU GET?
* Taaasty tastings of a range of koji-inspired and other fermented goodies
* Expert instruction on the world of koji, it's uses and how we can use it to make a whole host of delicious food

Picking and fermentation techniques date back thousands of years, and can be found across all food cultures. Think German sauerkraut, Korean Kimchi or Japanese Miso. In fact many of the foods and drinks we consume today are the result of different preservation techniques.
During this workshop, we will learn about the history and differences between fermentation and pickling, and follow a selection of recipes to create your very own samples to take home.
