You’ll be shown the importance of knowing why you started the business, how you can build a business while remaining authentic, and what needs to be done to ensure you create and support a solid foundation moving forward. During this module, you’ll discover how to successfully build a business in the construction industry, from the fundamentals and foundations to the growth. Lastly, we’ll review your vision, values, and purpose, show why these are critical areas, and allow you to establish a real business for you and your customers. Module 2: Your M.E.N.T.A.L Agility: The Entrepreneurial Mindset With this module, we’ll focus on self-leadership and how you should constantly be developing the ‘inner game’ or minder and the ‘outer game’ or action. The inner game consists of intention, self-awareness, self-confidence, and self-efficacy. These must be used to achieve personal mastery, while the outer game consists of influence and impact. Date: Thursday 28th September Time: 4pm Location: Studio A - Landor Road Event Details: Richard Hewitt is a film producer, who has previously worked in the industry as a 1st AD and Production Manager over the last few decades. He has kindly agreed to visit CFS to discuss hiss experiences in these roles, whilst shining a light on the different types of producers and their responsibilities. He has produced many well known and respected movies, including: - Bohemian Rhapsody - The Theory of Everything - Never Let Me Go - The Aeronauts The session will wrap with a wider Q+A session at the end. Beginning his career writing for Doctor Who Magazine in 1995, he got his big break when he became a screen writer for the Channel 4 series Queer as Folk. DATE: Thursday 11th July TIME: 4pm LOCATION: Studio A Chris Jones is one of the lead organisers of the London Screenwriting Festival, and also recently served as Splinter Unit Director of Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One. He will be discussing both how students can navigate film festivals and make their work stand out, and also his experiences working in a position of creative control on a large-scale blockbuster film. DATE: Tuesday 21st May TIME: 4pm LOCATION: Studio A The renowned and brilliantly-chameleonic actor Jason Flemyng is coming to Central Film School this month, and we couldn't be happier to have him. With an amazing CV including films and series such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Boiling Point, A Town Called Malice and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Jason will be talking about his career, how the industry has changed and giving practical, down-to-earth advice for our actors. There will also be an opportunity for students to put their own questions to Jason, so make sure you book a ticket and come along!
