National Back Exchange (referred to as “NBE”) is a non-profit membership association whose goal is to develop, disseminate and promote evidence-based best practice in all aspects of moving and handling and musculoskeletal health. It is run on a voluntary basis by a National Executive elected from the membership and administered from a central office in Gosforth, Newcastle. NBE’s vision for “Excellence in all aspects of moving and handling” is supported with aims to reflect the growing recognition and significance of its work. The association consults widely with other organisations / stakeholders having similar goals and actively contributes to national working parties and projects as well as supporting research and practice development. ‘Column’, the journal of NBE, provides a valuable means of communication and is supported by web-based members’ forums where topics can be freely discussed and advice sought. Since 1992 NBE has run a highly respected and successful 3 day residential conference in September for people with an interest in moving and handling. The membership of NBE includes professionals from a wide range of disciplines, including: Health and social care Therapies Education Health and safety Ergonomics Equipment manufacturing Industry The development of an Advanced Membership category (similar to a post graduate diploma) in 2006 has increased the professionalism and recognition of personnel engaged in this field. Networking and support of our members is facilitated by an interactive website, including a membership directory, links with organisations who share similar goals (both at home and 3abroad). NBE has a number of local affiliated groups located throughout the UK which run meetings on a regular basis. The local groups are an excellent way to promote networking, to share and disseminate information and support members at a local level. North East Grains is a large farmer owned cooperative based at Longhirst, Morpeth. North East Grains was founded in 1987 with a 10,000 tonnes capacity drying and storage facility and just 4 members. The farmer owned members cooperative was set up with the aim to benefit its membership with a collaborative approach through scale and providing a range of services. Since then, North East Grains has grown to one of the largest farming cooperatives in the North East with our original aim at the forefront of this growth. Today, North East Grains offers over 60,000 tonnes of grain drying and storage to its 80 plus members as well as a number of other beneficial services including:  Feed Milling and Production  Grain Marketing and value-added grain sales  Input purchasing and buying group  Fuels and energy supplier  Agri Waste collection site  Agronomy service and Farm Business Consultancy North East Grains has, and continues to developed the grain and feed facility and its services it offers. Most recently, we have invested over £2m in a state-of-the-art grain drying and cleaning plant increasing the site’s processing capacity to over 150 tonnes per hour alongside extending our grain storage capacity by 20,000 tonnes. We are investing heavily in our feed production facility to further improve the quality, consistency and traceability of our ever growing feed business. This will benefit our members by adding value to the marketable grain but also to local producers who rely on the feed we produce. In 2022 North East Grains received granting funding from the Rural Payment Agency – funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), which is part of the European Structural Investment Funds (ESIF). This Funding formed part of our newly developed Feed Production System.

North Tyneside Music Education hub engages with all 76 schools in North Tyneside. As well as ensuring that over 9,500 young people regularly engage in our wider opportunities whole-class tuition programme each year, we also support a network of self-employed music teachers who deliver small-group and individual instrumental lessons in schools. CPD We run programmes of CPD for music teachers and associated staff, provide curriculum support and design services and are always on hand to advise schools on how to make music provision the best it can be in each individual setting. Tutors Our team of NTMEH tutors also work to lead and support ensembles and choirs ran in schools, with over 3,000 young people regularly taking part in extra-curricular musical activities across the borough each year. Young Musicians Over 5,000 young musicians are regularly involved in our North Tyneside based hub events each year, and we also provide further opportunities for our young people to engage in other regional and national events with the support of our broad network of partners. Music Centre NTMEH Music Centre provides over 300 young people with the weekly opportunity to attend a wide range of bands, orchestras, choirs and a music theory group. All of these activities are free of charge. We also facilitate the Youth Music funded Standing Upright project, which provides access to musical opportunities for disadvantaged young people from across the borough, offering them the opportunity to work towards Arts Award qualifications and to train to become a NTMEH Young Leader. c4c (conect4children) is a large collaborative European network that aims to facilitate the development of new drugs and other therapies for the entire paediatric population. It is a pioneering opportunity to build capacity for the implementation of multinational paediatric clinical trials whilst ensuring the needs of babies, children, young people and their families are met. c4c is committed to meeting the needs of paediatric patients thanks to a novel collaboration between the academic and the private sectors, which includes 35 academic and 10 industry partners and around 500 affiliated partners. c4c endeavours to provide a sustainable, integrated platform for the efficient and swift delivery of high quality clinical trials in children and young people across all conditions and phases of the drug development process. c4c strives to bring innovative processes to all stages of clinical development by generating a new model of organization and of the clinical development process. By emphasizing inclusiveness and collaboration across geographical, specialty, sectoral, cultural and societal backgrounds, it will set up a new infrastructure to support all evaluations of medicines in children. In this manner, it will become a benchmark in the currently fragmented European clinical research environment. Best practices and up-to-date expert advice will inform the c4c approaches and methods, which will subsequently be refined in the context of viability trials.

Lord Lawson of Beamish Academy is a larger-than-average mixed secondary school in the town of Birtley. The school role is usually around 1450 students, including around 200 in the sixth form. The school occupies a large site, elevated above the east side of the town. Birtley is situated in the borough of Gateshead, and is between Gateshead and Chester-le-Street. Lord Lawson of Beamish Academy is a stand-alone academy, with no affiliation to other schools or academy trusts. Secondary schools in Gateshead work closely together, with one another, with their cluster of primary schools and with the local authority. The school was founded in 1970 as an amalgamation of three previous secondary schools. The present school building was opened in September 2007, built as part of the government’s Private Finance Initiative. The building was constructed by Sir Robert McAlpine and is very well maintained. It provides good-sized classrooms and excellent facilities for learning. Andrew Fowler has been the Principal since June 2019. Previous principals were Mark Lovatt and, before him, David Grigg. The principal is assisted by a deputy principal and a small number of assistant principals. Departments are led by subject leaders, assisted in the larger subjects by deputy and assistant subject leaders. The school is named after Jack Lawson, who was an influential local trade union leader and Labour politician. Jack Lawson became a Member of Parliament, representing a constituency in County Durham. He was a minister in the MacDonald and Attlee governments. When Jack Lawson was given a life peerage in 1950, he took the title Baron Lawson of Beamish. Little Swimming Co. reserve the right to make changes to the terms and conditions. New terms and conditions will be posted on our website and will take affect from the said date. Previous versions of our terms and conditions will be available on request. Lessons and Fees Lessons can be booked via the website or via reception. We will endeavour to accommodate your chosen time and date however we may have to offer an alternative time and date if there is no availability. Alternatively, we can place prospective customers on a waiting list. A half an hour 1-2-1 lesson at Little Swimming Co. will cost £21.00 per customer. This is acquired through a Direct Debit collected on the 1st of every month. All customers are required to have monthly Direct Debits set up for the 1st of each month. If a Direct Debit is not set up Little Swimming Co. reserve the right to reallocate the lesson. Direct Debits are to be set up via the following link http://www.littleswimmingco.co.uk/direct-debit-sign-up. Please allow at least 7 days for the Direct Debit to activate. If the Direct Debit is not activated in due time for the collection date, 1st of the month, a one off cash or card payment can be made at reception. Cancellations and Refund Policy Lessons with Little Swimming Co. may be ceased by giving 14 Days written notice. Any lessons paid for, but not taken within a period of 1 month will be refunded, provided we receive 14 Days written notice. Lessons cancelled within 14 days of the start of each month are subject to a £10.00 Administration Fee. There will be no personal customer holidays in the event a customer cancels a session within 72 hours these cannot be made up. Lessons cancelled with notice of 72 hours may be offered a catch up slot where available. Lessons cannot be cancelled where a customer intends to retain a space, payment of each week retains the space. These lessons can instead be subject to a Catch Up Lesson. On any occasion the pool cannot provide you with your swimming lesson our variable Direct Debit will ensure the customer is not paying for lessons which cannot be undertaken by Little Swimming Co. Examples of this include, instructor cancellation, instructor holidays, or during our Christmas Closure. Little Swimming Co. will endeavour to provide the same swimming teacher continuously for each customer. In the event of management illness, annual leave or any other unavailability, Little Swimming Co. will provide a replacement instructor. A refund will not be offered if an alternative instructor is offered and declined by the customer. In the unlikely event an alternative teacher cannot be found then a refund will be offered.
