ABOUT US The Boys' Brigade is one of the biggest Christian Youth Organisations in the UK & Republic of Ireland, committed to seeing lives enriched by supporting children and young people to reach their full potential by providing opportunities to meet together and engage in a range of fun and developmental activities and experiences. Our object: The advancement of Christ's kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of obedience, reverence, discipline, self-respect, and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness" The Boys' Brigade began here in Glasgow in October 1883, and quickly spread around the UK. It was on 12th October 1885 that the twelve Glasgow Companies held a meeting to form the Glasgow Battalion. More than 139 years later Glasgow Battalion comprises 44 Companies operating in Glasgow and East Kilbride, the role of a Battalion is to promote the interests of the Brigade in its area by organising activities for members; by the provision of support, training and opportunities for fellowship for Leaders; and by seeking opportunities for development of the Brigade to fulfil its Object better.

She is also set to complete her Coastal Activity Leader Training in July 2022. She Carol loves to support schools by providing training, advice and resources helping teachers break out of the classroom and deliver learning outdoors. Carol is one of the countries leading educational consultants supporting schools in Scotland, the UK and across the globe. She delivers training, presents keynote speeches and is passionate about helping schools develop high quality outdoor learning.

Our Worcester Skills Centre has its own classrooms and over 4 acres of outdoor space and resources for Plant Operator Training and Testing. Our classrooms have space for 4 to 20 people. There is excellent provision for parking, site access, and our courses include food to a high standard. Our outdoors area includes tarmac roadway, off road areas and it enables us to deliver training for many industries such as construction, landscaping, forestry and agriculture. We do not claim to cover every subject, after all what company can really do that properly and consistently. Corstorphine Bowling Club was formed in 1891 and moved to its present location in 1898. We have an excellent 6 rink green adjoining Corstorphine Public Halls and Library. We participate in Bowls Scotland, Edinburgh & Leith Bowling Association, the Edinburgh Bowling League, Edinburgh Women’s Bowling Association, Water of Leith and East of Scotland Bowling Association competitions. We have a strong and active membership but new men, ladies and junior members are always welcome. We have a team of coaches on hand who would be happy to give coaching advice to anyone requesting it. Junior membership is available from £10.
