Silver clay requires with very little equipment so it&#39;s perfect for those wanting to learn a new skill they can easily do at home.<br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">&nbsp;<br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">You will be taken through all the steps to create your own piece ready for firing. The dried clay is fired with a butane torch to form it into silver (but a cr&egrave;me brul&eacute; torch will do the trick!). Introduction to monoprinting

This 8 week course offers you an introduction to the German language. You’ll learn the essentials of reading, writing, speaking and listening in German.
 
You will learn (to):
* elementary vocabulary for use in everyday situations, including for your holiday in a German-speaking country
* have basic informal conversations
* basic grammar and sentence structure, including verb conjugations, how to ask and reply to questions
* understand and use the pronunciation of German names and place names
This will help you to build confidence in using the language independently, rather than learning phrases by heart. It will also provide an opportunity to develop your intercultural understanding through engaging with learning materials that reflect German-speaking countries and their people.

Bespoke painting and sculpture workshops can be arranged or Francesca can travel locally to guide you in your own studios or locations.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">There are some fabulous painting and sketching locations for plein-air painting around the old Cortijo which is situated 750 metres high in the olive groves. With mountain views and a variety of plants and trees, which include oranges, lemons, pomegranates, figs and grapes. The eco-swimming pool is also a great place to sketch and paint with water lilies, iris, marginal plants and a small waterfall.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">Locations locally include the Watermill walk at Algarinejo, the lake at Iznajar, any of the local towns and of course further afield in Granada, Cordoba and Malaga.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">Francesca Wyllie is a very experienced tutor and has led many workshops with groups and one-to-one classes. No previous experience is necessary and tuition can cater for all levels. Do you yearn to be more creative and want to have fun whilst learning?
Francesca Wyllie (BA Hons Fine Art) has an amazing north-facing art studio at El Retiro in Andalucia, which was purpose-built to accommodate painting groups. Bespoke painting and sculpture workshops can be arranged or Francesca can travel locally to guide you in your own studios or locations.
There are some fabulous painting and sketching locations for plein-air painting around the old Cortijo which is situated 750 metres high in the olive groves. With mountain views and a variety of plants and trees, which include oranges, lemons, pomegranates, figs and grapes. The eco-swimming pool is also a great place to sketch and paint with water lilies, iris, marginal plants and a small waterfall.
Locations locally include the Watermill walk at Algarinejo, the lake at Iznajar, any of the local towns and of course further afield in Granada, Cordoba and Malaga.
Francesca Wyllie is a very experienced tutor and has led many workshops with groups and one-to-one classes. No previous experience is necessary and tuition can cater for all levels. Just come with a positive outlook!
Unlocking creative potential is her speciality and some workshops will be a special blend of loosening up artistic techniques, mindfulness and yoga to bring a holistic approach to the workshops. This will break down any barriers, fears, or self-doubt you may have, to release your creative potential and bring back a playful love for creating art.

Art Tuition Fees:
Painting tuition starts at €30 per hour per person and includes some materials and refreshments.
Courses are a minimum of 1 1/2 hours and are normally held on weekends.
There will be a discount applied for group bookings fees of over 2 people of 20% and of 50% for over 4 people.
Sketching – you will receive a free sketchbook, pencils and refreshments – cost €30 per hour.
Watercolours, Oils and Acrylics painting including Plein Air painting in the near vicinity will be €30 per hour for watercolours and €35 per hour for Oils and Acrylics and will include one board or watercolour sheet, plus use of materials and brushes.
You are also welcome to bring your own materials too.
Digital Painting – You may need to pre-install the Artrage app on an IPad or tablet prior to the workshop. Francesca can guide you with this. The Artrage app is normally available for under €5 for IPad. Workshops are charged at €30 per hour
Life Drawing for groups with a minimum of 6 people. Price on application.
All workshops will usually include helpful pdf guides for tips on materials and techniques.
Other venues:
Do you require a workshop to be held in a specific location or in your own home? This can all be arranged but may involve extra fees to cover travel time and fuel costs. This will all be agreed with you in advance.
Francesca loves to paint on location and has held many painting and Ipad painting workshops. She is also available for artists’ talks.
Accessibility – The studio does have a wheelchair-accessible ramp though some rooms do have steps up to them. Please discuss your needs prior to your visit using the Contact form and we will try to accommodate you.

Building on your foundational knowledge, this 8-week course delves deeper into the German language by introducing more tenses and topic-specific vocabulary. You will expand your ability to read, write, speak and listen in German, focusing on practical application in real-world contexts.
You will learn (to):
* specific vocabulary for use in a wider range of situations, introduces by themes
* introduction of past tense and more nuanced grammar
* revising sentence structure and practice conversations in small groups using a variety of materials to help guiding through a conversation


This course aims to enhance your confidence in using German independently, moving beyond route memorization to effective communication.
If you haven’t done our Beginner course but have previous experience, please get in touch and together we will find the right level for you.

German Post Beginner/ Improver Stockbridge

Discover the process of enamelling using vitreous enamel on copper making a simple brooch, or a small artwork to frame. 

Working with small squares of copper you will learn about the enamel process, the preparation of the metal, enamels and the various stages of firing the piece in a small kiln. 

There will be several demonstrations of various options for decoration, and at the end of the workshop you should have a couple of simple brooches or enamelled squares that can be framed as small artworks. 

There is no need to worry about designs beforehand as there will be plenty of ideas to inspire. 

All the materials will be supplied including simple brooch fittings which can be glued to the back of the squares.

This workshop is suitable for all levels, particularly complete beginners. 

There are simple notes which accompany this workshop which includes suppliers and further reading suggestions. 

Earth conscious credentials
We are mindful of the effect we have on the environment, and do our best to minimise our impact.
We will be working with lead free enamels and natural based solutions. 
You will take the lovely products you have created home with you on the day, and workshop correspondence and notes are sent to you electronically.

Our taster and introductory workshops focus on teaching creative skills and methods you can continue practising at home, using affordable materials and equipment. Where more expensive equipment is required we will mention this in the workshop description.
All the equipment and materials you need are included in the price, unless stated otherwise. 
Light refreshments from local suppliers are provided. On full day workshops you are welcome to bring your own lunch to eat inside or out. There is also a wide range of independent sit-in or takeaway delis, cafés, and restaurants, plus a range of supermarkets all within a 5-10 minute walk.
Accessibility
The workshop space is on the first-floor of our Georgian mews home and unfortunately we do not have lift access. Blue badge holders can park outside our front door on the single yellow line by arrangement.
Allergies
The workshop space is in our open plan living space and is not nut free. Please let us know about any skin or food allergies before booking. We offer a dairy-free milk and gluten free snack alternative.
Minimum number no refund policy
To ensure we can always pay our creatives a fair fee, we require a minimum number of bookings for each workshop and for this reason bookings are non-refundable. Should we have to cancel due to low numbers, we will offer you the option to swap to an alternative date or workshop, or to request a refund.
We do our very best to avoid cancellations. Since we often get late bookings, we keep our workshops on sale for as long as possible. We realise that some of you travel from afar, so if you book a space and have not yet received an email confirming your workshop is going ahead and need to make plans for your trip, please get in touch before booking any travel or accommodation so we can update you on booking numbers. Or check in before booking.
Private workshop bookings
Most of our workshops are also available to book for: private get-togethers with family and friends; themed wedding and birthday celebrations; corporate team building and well-being purposes; and in-store retail events for your customers. If you’d like to know more please Email Lynn.

Join us for this fun, 2-hour workshop with calligrapher and paper sculpture enthusiast Panna Chauhan.
Using a pre-loved book as your starting point, Panna will show you options for covering your book, and teach you how to make the right folds in the right places to create a personalised folded book Christmas tree. 
You will then complete your design with a bauble on the top, and fairy lights.
Your handmade Christmas tree decoration will last you for years to come, or could be given as a gift.

Light refreshments from local suppliers are provided. On full day workshops you are welcome to bring your own lunch to eat inside or out. There is also a wide range of independent sit-in or takeaway delis, cafés, and restaurants, plus a range of supermarkets all within a 5-10 minute walk.
Accessibility
The workshop space is on the first-floor of our Georgian mews home and unfortunately we do not have lift access. Blue badge holders can park outside our front door on the single yellow line by arrangement.

The workshop space is in our open plan living space and is not nut free. Please let us know about any skin or food allergies before booking. We offer a dairy-free milk and gluten free snack alternative.
Minimum number no refund policy
To ensure we can always pay our creatives a fair fee, we require a minimum number of bookings for each workshop and for this reason bookings are non-refundable. Should we have to cancel due to low numbers, we will offer you the option to swap to an alternative date or workshop, or to request a refund.
We do our very best to avoid cancellations. Since we often get late bookings, we keep our workshops on sale for as long as possible. We realise that some of you travel from afar, so if you book a space and have not yet received an email confirming your workshop is going ahead and need to make plans for your trip, please get in touch before booking any travel or accommodation so we can update you on booking numbers. Or check in before booking.
Private workshop bookings
Most of our workshops are also available to book for: private get-togethers with family and friends; themed wedding and birthday celebrations; corporate team building and well-being purposes; and in-store retail events for your customers. If you’d like to know more please Email Lynn.

Outline:
This course is intended to provide an introduction to some key materials and components used in contemporary building envelopes. This course will identify key British, European and CWCT standards and guides relevant to those elements.
NOTE: The material for this course is based on previous MTCP and CWDC courses.
Target audience:
This course is aimed at those who specify and use the more common materials that are used in the construction of contemporary building envelopes.
