AURA Dance Studios is a full time dance studio teaching all ages and abilities from absolute beginner to World Champion. We’re confident there’s a class for you! What we do in the classes is to combine Ballroom, Latin American, Salsa, Argentine Tango, Modern Sequence and Rock ‘n’ Roll. We also run Fitness Classes including ZUMBA, ZUMBA Gold, Zumbini, Fitsteps, Yoga and Pilates. Our classes run throughout the week each offering something different for abilites.

Dance Concepts started in 2011, Through our time as dancers, we have seen many dance schools and dancers of all levels that love to dance for many different reasons. Since the start of Strictly Come Dancing, ballroom and Latin American has become very popular and the number of people wanting to dance today is huge. At the same time, dance fitness has crazed the country with Zumba. We feel that now is a great time for dance and through our experience can enable everyone no matter how young or old, coordinated or uncoordinated to exoerience and have the opportunity to dance. UK fitness has deteriorated over the last decade for many different reasons, so the sideline benefit to dance and fitness with Dance Concepts is that by making fitness reasonable and regular we can do our bit to help the UK get fit again. Our Vision. Britain started the tradition of Ballroom and Latin American Dancing with all the Champions up to the late 1990’s being born and trained in England. Today, British dancing has slightly lost it’s advance over the rest of the World, with very few truly British couples achieving the great heights in the dance world today. We have been very fortunate and worked hard to represent England all over the world and achieving the highest standards of dance. We want to pass this on to our couples and understand that the dancing world is hugely expensive, so if we can help the younger generation acheive the top of the dance world, we will! 2011-2015: Working as a Latin and Classics teacher in state schools and community groups across London, I develop tailored material that is both accessible and useful to all students. ✍🏻 2016: Classics For All gives a grant to make twelve lessons of my teaching materials accessible, and to train teachers from three trial primary schools. Feedback from this pilot is very positive.

We are a Ballroom and Latin American dance school resident in Basingtoke (Hampshire) and Camberley (Surrey) offering dance classes from Beginners to Advanced, Children to Adults, Social Dancing, Private Lessons. Our school is affilliated with the prestigous ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) and twice a year we offer you the opportunity to take medal exams. If you would like to take your dancing even further you can compete with us at the ISTD Medallist Competitions and also Pro-Am Championships. With +30 years of dancing experience he knows every corner of his business. While a Junior, Amateur and Professional, Jonathan has competed in Ballroom and Latin-American styles with different partnerships and has won many titles in the UK and abroad. After taking his professional qualifications within the ISTD, Jonathan has been enjoying a very successful career as a teacher. Jonathan has also an eye and talent for dance couture and our students have the previledge to get costume made dresses whose standard are very well known in the competitive field. Sergio & Sharon Withers Sergio & Sharon Withers Sergio & Ana Afonso Sergio & Ana Afonso Sergio Brilhante Qualified with both the ISTD and the IDTA, Sergio has extensive experience working with people from all backgrounds. In 2008 he decided to move to the UK to pursue his competitive career and become a full-time dance professional and teacher. His focus is on great technique, emotional connection with the music and of course have fun along the way. Sergio is currently in California, USA studying American Smooth and American Rhythm and will occasionally visit the studio for some coaching.Together they competed not only in Same-Sex events but were also the first and only all-male couple to participate in Professional events, challenging the notion that a couple needs to be consistent by a male and a female. As they explored the dynamics of leading and following, it felt only right to move on to the Professional field together, where they had competed for so many years. After all, if our society has developed to accept all sorts of partnerships why should in dancing be any different? They have enjoyed competing together at the most prestigious events in the UK, including the British Open that every year summons thousands of dancers across the world.
