I’ve been working with herbs for more than a decade. Initially it was a passion for learning more about the plants that grew about me through foraging and home herbalism. Then I began to focus on growing them when I spent a year working on the herb field at the Organic Herb Trading Company. Finally I trained as a herbalist at the Irish School of Herbal Medicine for 4 years, which included 600 clinic hours and an in-depth study of herbs, the human body and vitalism. I graduated with a Licentiate in Herbal Medicine and diploma in Iridology and Nutrition in 2017 and I am now in my 5th year of working as a herbalist in Fife. My previous background is in organic food production and I previously co-established and ran Meadowsweet Organics’ market garden in Falkland, Fife. My herbal business was previously called The Meadowsweet Herbal Apothecary in connection to the farm, and I grew lots of medicinal herbs for tea blends, wholesale and my own dispensary.

I'm so exciting to be teaching you here- let me show you what works!  Are you sick of trying to piece together information from various sources online on how to make candles only to find it doesn't work? People come to me all the time after trying and failing at getting the correct wax, wicks and fragrance oils to work together effectively. It is easy to get right but also easy to get wrong. Let me show you my techniques.  You're going to learn all about how to measure the candle wax, choose the correct wick size (which is a minefield) and most importantly choosing your fabulous scents.  I do work and teach with soy wax and we are a vegan company.  I have run in-person candle workshops for over 7 years welcoming thousands of people from around the country. I have adapted my in person teaching to online courses I'm delighted to serve around the world now in 16 countries!  My business began from my kitchen table over 10 years ago, making candles for family then friends asked if I could teach them so I started running classes round my kitchen table which eventually expanded to a studio a year and a half later.  I create Private Label Candles for Luxury Hotels across Scotland and London, and work with clients such as Waldorf Astoria, Porsche, Novotel and Pullman. The Courses Golf has been played over the links at Gullane for more than 350 years. Today, Gullane Golf Club is one of Scotland's most prestigious member clubs, mixing the finest tradition with some of the most admired natural links land in the world. Gullane No. 1 (1884) has a long history of hosting national and international championship golf events, including the 2018 Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open and Ladies Scottish Open, the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open in 2015 as well as Local Final Qualifying for the Open Championship at neighbouring Muirfield. Gullane No. 2 (1898) was laid out by the legendary Willie Park Jr and has also been used for Open Championship Qualifying as well as the Seniors Open Amateur. Gullane No. 3 (1910) was also designed by Willie Park Jr. It may be the shortest of the three courses, but it provides a wonderful test based on shot-making skills rather than power. Gullane offers a unique range of golfing experiences for members and visitors alike, combining a major role in the history of golf in Scotland, great golfing conditions, and a truly spectacular environment.
