This comprehensive 3-hour Online Family First Aid course has been created by Mini First Aid to give you the knowledge to help a baby, child or adult with both minor and major first aid incidents as well as giving advice on how to manage a range of common illnesses and conditions.

QA LEVEL 2 AWARD IN BASIC LIFE SUPPORT FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN (RQF) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Half day course * Also called Basic Life Support, BLS, or BLS training * Teaches the basics of first aid for adults, children and infants (babies) * Useful for many occupations. Also available as a bolt-on to certain other courses, at just a third of the price. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BENEFITS OF THIS COURSE: * 1.1 million workers in Britain had an accident at work in 2014/2015 * Of those, 2,700 were from the East Midlands * On average, one out of every 370 people received an injury at work * Children are prone to minor injuries, but can also  suffer from serious ones * More than 2 million children have accidents in the home for which they're taken to A&E every year. * Teaching you how to treat your child should the worst occur * Children can be present, though parents will remain responsible for them throughout * 2.5 - 3 hr sessions -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Course Contents: * What to do if your child goes unconscious * How to check if they are breathing normally or not * If they are, how to put them in the recovery position * If they are not, how to start CPR and use an AED (defibrillator) * What to do if your child were to choke * What to do if they were to get burnt * How to treat minor injuries (dependent on available time) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Past Sessions: * Sessions in the past have been paid for by a local charity, enabling parents to access the training for free * We're happy to put on sessions for your group, playgroup, charity, or simply for you and your children * We're always happy to have little ones come along * They can either play around, or join us - they usually prefer to join us and play with the manikins, even trying out CPR! * You will, of course, remain fully responsible for them while they are there -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Accreditation: These sessions are tailored to the needs of parents and are therefore not accredited. Essential First Aid Relating to Forest Schools, covering a wide range of possible emergency situations. This course is designed for Forest Schools to teach basic first aid skills over two days meeting the guidelines of Forest Schools. This qualification is available as a ProTrainings qualification and you can also request an Endorsed certificate from TQUK if required for an extra charge. The course is the same for both certificates. The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate.
