Our one day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course covers all the subjects required by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to make this an approved course. However, if you have particular risks in your workplace please let us know in advance of the course so that we can tailor your time with us to include training in those area.  This course provides basic life saving first aid skills and knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, covering: Adult resuscitation (CPR) Burns and scalds Choking adult Communication and casualty care Defibrillator (AED) prompts and pad placement Minor and severe bleeding Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations) Seizures Shock Unresponsive adult Catastrophic bleeding can be added as an optional module for workplaces that require it following your first aid needs assessment.

The QCF approved qualification came into effect on 1st October 2013, along with new guidance on assessing the needs of First Aid in your workplace. Your risk assessments of First Aid needs may well identify the need for Emergency First Aiders at Work (EFAW) either as an addition to your First Aiders (3-day), or where your Company activities are low risk. A lot of our Clients have requested this course as extra cover when working on construction sites or similar works covered by the Principal Contractors trained site first aiders and for smaller works. Aims To give a basic knowledge to help you deal with any Emergency First Aid at Work. The Emergency First Aid At Work course covers worst case scenarios and some of the more common minor injuries. It is aimed at those working in lower risk areas such as offices and shops. You will need to attend a full 7 hours of trining (breaks included) First Aid Training at Splat is relaxed and enjoyable. We aim to help you learn and support you to get what you need from the day. There are some practical and some multiple-choice assessments but our job is to ensure you have everything you need to pass these easily. Please note that First Aid can be quite physical, you will need to be able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR and Recovery Position.
