This course provides the basic requirements for auditing I&HAS to PD 6662, EN 50131, BS 8243, and access control / CCTV systems to certification bodies' standards. The course enables certified contractors to conduct objective auditing of their own systems.

An axe making course is a fantastic way to learn about an ancient craft and create a tool that will last a lifetime.  Over this two day course you will learn the basics of forging as well as the more advanced techniques of punching and drifting the axes eye as well as isolating mass and steel movement.  Once the axe is forged as close as possible to shape we will heat treat and talk about the science and workings of why we do this and then its over to the belt grinders to refine a final edge, the last step is to shape the handle and fit it to your axe!  Courses are £320 Per person per two days. All courses must be paid for a minimum of 14 days in advance to secure the date.  I run a strict cancellation policy. About the technique: The Kusum Modak Method, previously referred to as Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (AYM), Traditional Ayurvedic Massage, or simply Ayurvedic Massage, is now named in honor of its creator. This change was introduced with the establishment of the Modak Institute, founded by Kusum Modak to preserve her legacy with integrity and authenticity for future generations. This contemporary method combines traditional Ayurvedic Massage with Yoga, developed through Kusum Modak’s studies with her teachers, Limaye and B. K. S. Iyengar, in Pune, India. The therapy focuses on activating breath, circulation, and vital energy through deep touch using hands and feet, along with tractions and stretching maneuvers. It validates that students are fully qualified to work professionally with Prerequisites: While no formal prerequisites are required, physical, mental, and emotional health are essential to participate in the intensive activities. Students will also develop awareness to their clients’ needs and enhance their own mindfulness during practice. The visit is a couple of hours to walk around the farm and get hands on, in a safe way with baby lambs and/or tractors and ask questions about poo or dinosaurs and anything else that pops into their heads. You can stay longer and play in the fields if the weather is nice but dont forget it sometimes snows in April!!! We've been running these visits for a few years now, they are government funded so entirely free to you. We are all DBS checked with years of working with children under our belts, the visit is fully risk assessed and we ask that you do a pre visit so that you know what you're coming to. There is indoor and outdoor space to bring your own picnic and loads of parking for a minibus. We can give you a nice cup of tea and ensure the children are safe and clean before you go home. It's perfect for any age group but primary get particular joy and great learning from being on a real working farm.
