Welcome to Mud Pie Explorers Home page! We are a well established not for profit Community Interest Company forest school based in South Gloucestershire, Bristol and Newport. We have a wonderful team of people who run Forest School sessions, after school clubs and take out community groups into local green spaces. This summer we celebrated our 10th birthday by launching a community fund to provide subsidised session spaces!

Our passion is to keep those who have food hypersensitivities safe, and able to enjoy life in the same way as everyone else. We believe that everyone has the right to socialise safely, and, let's face it, every event revolves around food! The reality for those living with food allergies or hypersensitivities, is that they are often excluded from everyday events such as coffee with friends, the work lunch, networking breakfast, birthday or wedding parties, Christmas dinner, etc. etc. It is our aim to make sure that everyone is included, and kept safe. It is not rocket science or quantum physics to achieve this, which is why we offer accredited food allergen awareness, food allergen management, and food safety courses.  Food Allergy Friends Limited and Cater Allergy Safer is here to enable both the hospitality industry and the food allergic diner with training in allergen awareness and management.  We have courses and services that can be tailored to you, whether that is in your business or your own home.

diocese of bristol: events and training

The Diocese of Bristol is the Church of England across Bristol, South Gloucester, North Wiltshire and Swindon. There are 30,000 people worshipping regularly in more than 200 churches, led by hundreds of clergy serving within seven deaneries. Around 15,000 children and young people attend our 72 church schools, while chaplains serve in institutions across our region. Our bishops lead and oversee the Church in the Diocese of Bristol. Rt Revd Vivienne Faull is the 56th Bishop of Bristol and was consecrated Bishop at a service at St Pauls Cathedral in July 2018. She was installed as the 56th Bishop of Bristol at Bristol Cathedral on 20 October 2018 and introduced as a Lord Spiritual at the House of Lords on 23 October. Rt Revd Dr Lee Rayfield, the Bishop of Swindon, supports the role of the Diocesan Bishop. He works across the diocese alongside his community leadership role in Swindon. We are shaping a new vision and set of priorities for the coming years in a 12-month process called Transforming Church. Together. We want to understand what we do well, what we can change for the better and how to create a positive way forward together. Between February and April 2021 we will be talking and listening to lots of different people, from both inside and outside the church. As part of the Church of England, we are participating in the Renewal and Reform Programme in a variety of ways.

Bristol Dance Associate Programme is an exciting programme especially for young dancers aged between 10 and 25 years who are looking to enhance their dancing with additional, complementary training. We work with local dance schools to develop each student's potential. Students will train in Contemporary & Jazz Dance with professional experts and then will be given the opportunity to work with west-end performers in our monthly workshops. An Audition is required to join the Associate Programme. We look for student's potential, passion and a strong sense of performance and musicality.

UBUC was established during the 1960/61 academic year. Considering that scuba gear was invented in 1943 by Jacques Cousteau, much has changed in 50 years! The club ranges from new trainees to seasoned divers whose expertise is vital to the smooth running of UBUC. One of our main goals is to provide affordable scuba diving training. Every year we train around 30 divers and provide a number of internationally recognised qualifications from beginner to advanced diver levels. We are affiliated to the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC), and therefore issue qualifications according to BSAC standards. Over the last few years, we have gained a number of BSAC awards recognising our achievements in training. The club is overseen by 10 committee members. However, being such an active club means we rely on help from everyone to organise trips, help with equipment maintenance and assist with training. We especially encourage aspiring Dive Leaders to organise their own trips. We are also a friendly and sociable bunch! Our dedicated Social Secretaries runs most of our social events, including diving talks, boat pub crawls, trips, and much more! Anyone, however, can organise an event. BSAC Affiliation UBUC is a branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club. We are branch number 9160. Scuba Diving Training We offer extensive training for SCUBA diving, anywhere from beginner to advanced diver levels. We teach using the standards of our diving agency BSAC. In addition, we run Skills Development Courses (SDCs), Instructor Qualifications and also the occasional Freediving course.
