Ravn Clay is a small studio pottery in north Northumberland. Opened in August 2021, it offers short, half and day courses in hand-building pottery, with an emphasis on wellbeing, enjoyment and creativity. The range of courses on offer is always evolving, with a growing community of users who return again and again to play with clay.

Clay is a way that people with varying abilities can be creative. Many people including those with disabilities have no access to pottery workshops. By travelling to community groups, schools and care homes I can bring the workshops to you. The clay creations are taken away to fire in the kiln, eliminating the need for expensive equipment within your premises.

AA Shooting School provides clay pigeon shooting lessons near Sturminster Newton in North Dorset. Located close to the Wiltshire and Somerset borders, we are ideally placed for weekend breaks or longer holidays, with local accommodation nearby. We offer personal one-to-one sessions by appointment to introduce you to the sport, or to refine your technique. All visitors to the school will be provided with ear protection, and eye protection is provided for those shooting. We follow the BASC shotgun safety code of practice at all times. ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR Association of Professional Shooting Instructors Norman Fuller is a qualified clay shooting instructor and a member of the Association of Professional Shooting Instructors (APSI). His many years of experience are ideal for introducing beginners to clay pigeon shooting, or for helping seasoned shots to refine their technique. Whatever your level, you’re assured of a patient and experienced instructor to help you make the most of your day.

As a fulltime potter for many years, it had always been a dream of mine to open a teaching studio. My vision was to be able to have a studio that would be accessible and available to all potters, no matter what their level of interest. Finally, together with my husband David and the support of our family, we opened our doors in July 2019. We found the perfect building and set to work, figuring out as we went along how everything would be laid out. David is the quintessential do-it-yourself Kiwi, and he set about figuring out what we needed, and how to build it. Lots of late nights, our children helping us paint the floors, our friends bringing over meals, we opened and released our first set of classes. They all sold! We started with one wheel throwing classroom, a hand building classroom, and a dedicated Members area, so that our students could join up as members and practise their new skills, much like a pottery gym. Our members area built up over time despite the lockdowns.

My name is Alison Mayston, I run a small craft business called The Craft Loft which I set up 7 years ago with the help of The Prince’s Trust. Through my business I sell and teach a wide range of crafts including Fused Glass, Silver Clay, Polymer Clay and Zentangle drawing.  I also stock a range of kits that are a workshop in a bag with all the materials and instructions needed to complete something unique. The workshops provide people with a taster session for them to learn something new, and they are a great way to sit and relax and not think about all the stress of our busy everyday life.  They are an introduction to discover all a about what a  new craft has to offer. The ethos of the Craft Loft is to unlock your creative side and turn ideas into reality. Our wonderfull countryside location offers the perfect setting for the whole art therapy experience, learn something new and get away from the hum drum of a busy life. There is no minimum limit to my workshops as sometimes people just need some space.  I am happy to come out to a group setting and looking for any opportunities to set up  regular Craft Group sessions.  I am a WI Speaker and am more than ahppy to do a zoom session. Bespoke seesions such as mother and daughter sessions and hen parties are a great way to enjoy craft together.
