YMCA Heart of England is an independent Christian charity that works with people of all faiths and of none. We were formed from the merger of YMCA Birmingham and YMCA Coventry & Warwickshire in 2020 and support local people in their communities with a wide range of services. At different sites across Birmingham, Coventry, Rugby and Solihull, we provide; accommodation and support to help vulnerable people move towards independent living youth services in areas of high need volunteering opportunities friendly nursery settings for the community. We provide online courses primarily aimed at ministers in the Pentecostal and Charismatic traditions, but open to all clergy regardless of denominational background. Our programmes are specifically for Christian leaders such as bishops, pastors (in any capacity), priests, missionaries, deacons, evangelists and chaplains. If you are not a part of leadership ministry but you are in training or operate in a senior capacity within your church or sacred related context, you are also welcome to apply. No matter where you are living or ministering, you can access our tailor-made online learning programmes. At KST, we aim to provide a clear and step-by-step process for registering, enrolling, accessing modules, studying and submitting assignments.

Our academic programmes are an important part of what we do however they only tell part of the story of who we are. Our History Springdale College started life in 1980 as a mission college in Selly Oak, Birmingham, where prominent missionary Lesslie Newbigin taught in his last years of active ministry. In March 2015, with a growing missional vision, Springdale College was renamed ForMission College. ForMission offers degree courses, which have been accredited by Newman University since 2018, for students from a wide range of denominations and networks. Vision and Values ForMission’s vision is to encourage and equip Christians to transform the world through missional presence and action. The college seeks to be a learning community of reflective practice, community engagement, leading-edge missional theology, and participation in God’s mission. Our core values are being relational and missional; committed to diversity, excellence, and service. Ongoing Training ForMission College also offers a range of practical courses that can often be delivered in the local church. Many of our students start out on these courses before moving on to the BA or MA programme. We are proud that for many of our students, ForMission College is their first opportunity to study at this level.

Maryvale lies at the centre of the ancient settlement of Oscott, about five miles from Birmingham City Centre. With its charming buildings, in which Christian values and prayer are almost tangible, its long and interesting history and peaceful grounds, Maryvale is spiritual ‘home’ to many. It has been the aim of the Maryvale Institute from its inception to provide opportunities for lay people, clergy and religious to achieve a deeper understanding of the faith and to appreciate more clearly its joyful message for the lives of individuals and communities. Maryvale stands within the Catholic theological tradition, whose riches it seeks to explore, and draws from that tradition an insistence, not only on the foundational importance of faith for theological reasoning, but also on the place of reason in the response of faith.

the royal priesthood bible college

Welcome to The Royal Priesthood College. The college which offers “All Boarding Facilities”, is located on the outskirts of Masvingo town in Zimbabwe. It was founded by Mr Shepherd and Mrs Rosemary Dakar in 2018, to provide quality and affordable education based on strong Christian Values and Ethos to enrolled pupils and students. We are registered through the Zimbabwe Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education to offer Early Childhood Development Training, Primary and Secondary Education up to Advanced Level. At secondary school level, our students study the Cambridge Education Syllabi. Since 2018 we have progressively increased our enrolment at all levels of education taking cognizance of the need to maintain a teacher to student ratio of 1:15 per class. Our pass rate which started off at 70% has risen to above 90% and we are confident of reaching and maintaining a 100% mark. This has been possible given the commitment that our well-motivated teachers have shown, towards enabling students to assimilate as much as they can before they go for examinations. We are proud to be among a group of schools that provide quality education, clean and comfortable accommodation as well as 3 course meals to our students and staff, all services which make parents want to choose The Royal Priesthood College.

azadi trust

Azadi Trust was founded in 1991 by Dr. Robin Fisher, a GP working in Sparkbrook, Birmingham, as a Christian outreach to the large number of drug users in the area. From these early beginnings Azadi has followed the vision that ‘Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom’ (2 Cor 3:17) which remains our ‘strapline’ to this day, some thirty years on. The surgery and the drugs work had closed by the mid-1990’s, but the Charity remained and in 1997, with the support of the local Anglican church, Christ Church, purchased the old surgery building. This building is now known as Azadi House. In the early days, the ground floor of Azadi House was the base for activities such as a youth club and a homework club, mainly run by Christ Church members but designed to be accessible to the local community; subsequently the Trust supported projects, such as ‘Bright Sparks’ mother and toddler group and ‘Azadi Tigers’ football team, which operated away from its base. On the basis of these early experiences we don’t seek to ‘set up projects’ but rather to ‘follow what God is doing’ and actively support Christians in the inner-city who want to set up or who are already actively running projects, people who have a vision (and warmth and enthusiasm) to reach others with the love of God but do not want the distraction of establishing a structure to accommodate their vision and who would rather just ‘get on with the job’. Hope Garden Project, who have been part of Azadi for over 10 years, are an example of this.

The Latin motto of our college is Pro Petri Fide which means For the Love of Peter. Jesus made Saint Peter the leader of the Apostles and it was on Saint Peter’s faith that Jesus said he would build his Church, Bishop Milner Catholic College is part of this Church and our faith is indeed the faith of Peter. Therefore, our college is committed to offering Christian love and care to each person within it irrespective of their faith background. As such, everyone is valued as a gift from God and treated with utmost respect. Our History Up to 1960 there was no secondary school in Dudley for Roman Catholic children. At the end of 1956 approval was given to build a three storey Roman Catholic secondary school for 400 students. Construction of Bishop Milner Catholic School began September 1957. The build cost of this new school was estimated at around £191,000, it was to include a gymnasium, science and art rooms, a library and a large assembly hall. As the school buildings neared completion, it was decided that the school would be named after Bishop John Milner, the vicar Apostolic of the Midlands. The official opening took place on 21st September 1960 and was conducted by the Most Rev. Francis Grimshaw, Archbishop of Birmingham. There have been many changes to the original building over the years. In 1963 a three floor extension was added to the main building along with a new dining hall. In September 1981 a “Secretary’s” block was also opened. In September 1994 a new large two storey building was built, which included drama and dance studios. In 2003 construction was well underway of what was to become the Bishop Milner Catholic College of today , with multiple ICT suites, Learning Resource Centre, study areas and many new class rooms to replace the 1960s buildings.
