Our rather awesome bass course return with a seven session run falling on alternate Saturdays. You'll learn basic technique from how to move your fingers, play your first arpeggios, accompany a band, play your first classic bass riffs and of course, execute the perfect bass face. You don't even need a bass guitar to join. A regular six string guitar will do, and, once we've got you addicted to the groove, you can go out and buy your self a Rickenbacker.
Attending a Maker Space session will give you an informal and enjoyable introduction to Computer Aided Design and Digital Manufacturing. We use only open source design software, that you can download and use at home for free. We have 3D Printers, a CNC Router, a Laser-cutter, a digital embroidery machine, and a 3D scanner, and all of them are available for you to use. Small groups and expert tuition ensures everybody leaves with something they have designed and made. For more information go to https://cnccraft.co.uk/digital-fabrication/maker-space/. We look forward to seeing you here one Saturday. Aaron
Harness the energy is an explorative workshop introducing the notion of utilising and intuitively listening to the energy shared between a group of people. Whether we realise it or not, we all give off certain energies at any time. These energies can affect change, sometimes positively, sometimes negatively. This workshop enhances understanding of the power of our own energy transmissions through the use of compliciteÌ-based theatre techniques and exercises. This workshop will help participants become active and aware listeners, able to work better collaboratively to produce strong results. It will demonstrate the power of our own individual energy and the positive impact we can have when we learn to utilise the energy beneficially in different situations.

Writing a song is quite often as simple as taking a look around, either at the external, or taking a look within at the internal, putting pen to paper, and then leaning on some tried and tested song forms. And, with over 100 years of popular music to explore there's an awful lot of reference material to help us along the way. The road has already been paved for us, we just have to follow it. In each session you'll be exploring unique exercises to foster authentic lyric writing whilst exploring key song forms and common music writing devices. You'll then have opportunity to take it further by attending supporting events such as our confidence inspiring Live Lounge Support Room where you can develop your stage craft ahead of our performance event, Live Lounge. Your creativity doesn't need to stop there, either. As a Guitar Social member you have access to our studio and rehearsal facility where you can record your work. All of this makes The Guitar Social song writing program like no other, and I can't wait to have you take part. Oh, and bring a pen.
