Do you have a little one that loves dancing, singing & acting? Why not book them a place at one of our BP Theatre Camps this holiday?   Struggling to think of ways to keep the kids entertained? BP to the rescue! Your children will learn new skills, be engaged, make new friends and most importantly….have BAGS OF FUN!   Our camp offers the children a chance to build their confidence in a friendly environment. We encourage kids to be their best not the best. How does the day run? We start the day with our welcome talk & ice breaker games – this is a great way for the children to ease into the day and get to know each other. Once we have made some new friends we move onto livening up our bodies with dance, after this energetic session we take a well deserved morning break. Singing is up next followed by lunch – a much needed chance to refuel after a very busy morning. The afternoon then consists of drama tasks, arts & crafts, afternoon break and plenty of games.   Each session (dance, singing & drama) consist of a warm up, technique and working towards a final piece that we complete by the end of the day.   Our aim is for each child to leave daily with the biggest smile on their face and feeling proud of what they’ve achieved.

If you’re in the industry, he needs no introduction but for anyone who hasn’t heard of him, he is a master of the polishing craft with over 50 years experience, his client list past and present includes, Asprey, Garrard, Theo Fennell, Hamilton and Inches Crown Jewellers of Scotland, The Royal Mint, The Royal Society. He has polished and restored many famous silverware pieces including the Americas Cup; Davis Cup; Wimbledon Cup and the Premier League Cup and he has also advised the Tower of London Jewel House on the upkeep of their silver collections. He also judged the polishing section of Goldsmiths craft and design awards. Now a Master Polisher of over 50 years’ experience, originally working for the Crown Jewellers Asprey & Garrards and well-known society jeweller Theo Fennell. Many of the pieces polished are now seen in Palaces, Museums and the rich and famous across the world. Stephen is one the most respected jewellery & silver polishers and is currently is teaching polishing across Europe and is known affectionately as “The Gold polishing Guru”. He has polished and restored many famous silverware pieces including the Americas Cup; Cricket World cup, Wimbledon Cup, Dubai Gold Cup, Premier League Cup. He has also been privileged to work in the jewel house at the Tower of London restoring The Grand Punch bowl made in 1830 and used by the Royal family on many occasions. Also known for polishing the largest pure gold coins made by the Royal Mint the largest being the James Bond 7kg pure gold coin. He is a fellow of the Institute of Professional Goldsmiths (IPG) and their official ambassador and a Master of The Dutch Guild of Goldsmiths. After this demonstration you will be guided by Stephen to try and replicate what you have been shown in the demonstration.After working through a few more exercises you will set to work on your own jewellery, receiving guidance on not just how to achieve the finish you would like for your jewellery but to reach a standard of finish you didn’t know you could.These Masterclasses are a great opportunity to learn from someone who is:a) A true master in our tradeb) Not a grump or condescending because you don’t know somethingc) Happy to chat and share his knowledge!All you need to bring is some of your own jewellery (around 6 items) at the point where it’s ready for polishing.You will have a spindle that is yours for the duration of the masterclass, mops, materials etc will be provided. You will learn a wide range of enamelling techniques for copper and make samples to refine your skills and technique. You will explore techniques including sifting; sgraffito; stenciling; drawing on enamelled surfaces with graphite pencils; using wet pens and painting with wet enamels. This course is ideal for students with no experience of enamelling. However, more experienced students can join the course and use the time to further experiment with these techniques or try them for the first time. To see the day in action see our Instagram post here DURING THIS DAY SESSION YOU WILL… Learn how to prepare copper before enamelling. Understand how to fire enamels to the right temperatures to create attractive results. Practice how to sift onto copper to create an even surface to be able to decorate it. Explore and practice sgrafitto and stenciling enamelling techniques. Learn how to draw onto enamelled surfaces using graphite pencils. Learn how to wash enamels and use them to paint patterns onto enamelled surfaces. Understand the principles decorating metal with enamels and the processes of firing enamels at the correct temperatures to achieve specific effects. You will be shown a series of demonstrations throughout the day and can try all of the techniques demonstrated or you can decide to concentrate on a particular technique – this is your ay to explore enamelling and the vast potential it offers. Please note, this day is not focussed on working on finished designs or working with silver. Enamelling takes time to learn and explore. You will be working with a series of copper blanks – some of which have holes so you are able to slot them onto earring hooks or place a jump ring on them for a pendant if you are pleased with your sample. The aim of the course is to introduce you to the techniques and processes and for you to experiment and put into practice what you have been shown, not to create finished designs at this stage, this will be something you can work towards once you have gained some experience. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None, all abilities are welcomed. We support you throughout the session and provide demonstrations to show you the techniques and steps needed to create your project. CLASS SIZE: 6 WHAT IS INCLUDED? All tools and consumables are supplied. We will supply copper sheet for your samples, but please feel free to bring along any pierced designs you might have of your own or anything you would like to experiment with. YOU WILL BE PROVIDED WITH: Copper sheet is supplied. WHAT TO BRING: A sketch book – to note your practices throughout the day, especially important for those who would like to recreate their samples again at home or on future occasions. If you want to bring along any silver to experiment with, you are welcome to do so. Please wear closed toe shoes – no sandals or flip flops as you will be working with hot metal and tools. Please bring along any lunch, snacks and drinks for the session. We have tea and coffee supplies you are welcome to help yourself to but make sure you bring enough refreshments and supplies to keep you going during the day.
