We are Floating Art, a Husband and wife partnership offering a wide variety of quality art workshops around the North West.  Our workshops are led by Ula Fung, a local artist whose practice is focused on abstract Oil painting. Ula studied for her BA in fine art and MA in visual art in Hong Kong. We offer specialised workshops that have roots from both the Eastern and Western world.

We cover Life Drawing, Portrait Painting and Landscape Painting.The Realist Academy Walton Hall was established due to a demand for a traditional academic approach too drawing and painting in the North West. At present the school will be teaching the fundamentals of Portrait Drawing and Painting. The Academy offers a number of different approaches both traditional and modern. We aim to create a balanced technique of careful time-tested methods from both the traditional and Illustration schools. RAW provides amateur and professional artists with an opportunity to perfect their skills. Through a practical understanding of the materials and methods taught, students will cultivate the means to describe reality with an articulate visual language. Louis Smith is the principle teacher he a classically trained portrait painter, studying in Florence for three years. We also provide fully equipped studio space for supported sessions. This enables those with previous handbuilding experiece to work independently on their own projects with a technician/ teacher on hand for  technical / glazing advice / support.  Our studio can be hired for running your own ceramics / Art/  Craft Workshops.
