This is a 4 week course encouraging children to engage in Creative Writing by drawing inspiration from eerie images and stories. 😱 Led by our outstanding Primary Teacher Charley, students will discover how to enrich their writing skills with techniques that build suspense, as well as learning how to craft vivid imagery for their readers. ✍

This is a 4 week course where children will design their very own island. 🏝 They will then investigate its inhabitants and features. 🐒 👣 🍋 Children will then use their senses to add descriptive details when writing about their new island. I wonder what undiscovered things they’ll reveal?!

During this 4-week course your children will: 🦹 Design their own superhero 🦹‍♂️ Read and discuss a range of comics 🦹‍♀️ Learn to draw characters in a comic style 🦹 Create a dastardly villain! 🦹‍♂️ Concoct an evil plan (on behalf of their villain) and figure out how their superhero is going to save the day! And lots more!

Children will have lots of fun developing their performing arts skills, as well as building confidence, social skills, creativity and self-esteem.  Lauren is an experienced LAMDA teacher (the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art). This is one not to be missed!  Please note: this course starts on Monday the 19th of August at 10am UK/1pm UAE. It runs for 4 consecutive days: Monday 19th, Tuesday 20th, Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd at 10am UK each day, for one hour.  If you cannot attend a lesson for any reason, Lauren will record it and send you a link to watch the session via the Zoom cloud. 

Children will gain public speaking skills, as well as the confidence to perform a speech at the end about a hobby, interest, or anything important to them. They will explore informative vs persuasive speeches, think about who their speech is targeted at and will also improve their vocabulary skills!

In the class you will learn the basics of how to work with resin, how to add glass, how to add your sea glass stones, and how to let it dry. This is a fun project for adults. A great beginner friendly class for anyone who is interested in learning how to work with resin. This glass resin picture frame would make a great gift or a fun decoration for your room. Health & Safety is a significant concern. Everyone has an essential role to play in reducing deaths and accidents at work. Failure to meet the requirements of Health and Safety regulations carries serious consequences so understanding these requirements is vital. This course is aimed at those starting out in the construction industry and provides an introduction to some of the key aspects of health and safety on and around construction sites. It can be taken along with the accredited exam to provide you with a recognised qualification that can form part of your CSCS card application.
