About Central Scotland Regional Equality Council
CSREC was established to eradicate all forms of discrimination under the Race Relations Act 1976, CSREC is based in Falkirk and works across Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling Council areas. Following the introduction of the Equality Act 2010 and in recognition of intersectionality, we widened our remit to work with all nine protected characteristics. CSREC, a founder member of the Scottish Alliance of Regional Equality Councils (SAREC), works in partnership with members of local communities, statutory authorities, and voluntary organisations across the Forth Valley, promoting good relations and providing equality of opportunity between persons of all protected characteristics.
