On-Demand course
Intermediate level
The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, also known as the Level 3 CAVA Assessor course, replaces the A1 course and is considered an industry-standard qualification for people looking to assess learners for accredited courses. Previously if you wanted to train to become an assessor, you would complete the D32 and D33 units. The A1 Award replaced the D Units. Finally, the A1 Award was replaced by the current suite of qualifications, commonly referred to as TAQA (Training Assessment and Quality Assurance). Most training centres would expect you to have a CAVA assessor qualification before you start assessing in the FE and HE sectors. You are not required to have any prior qualification or experience to start this CAVA certificate, just a passion for teaching or training. This NVQ assessor course will assist you regardless of your subject expertise, whether you teach music or coach people. The awarding body of this course is Focus Awards which UK Ofqual fully accredits. The course is delivered 100% online. We will offer support to you.

All units within this assessment are internally assessed by our qualified assessors and externally verified by the awarding organisation. The evaluation takes the form of written assignments and demonstration of assessment skills through video recording, detailed guidance for which will be provided by the tutor.
