This masterclass will enable you to gain comprehensive awareness and be a supportive guide for Key Staff through fully understanding recent changes and developments in one of the fastest growing categories of safeguarding concerns.
We will look at the evidence, trends and key statistics, and will explore the different ways in which schools/colleges can effectively identify, understand and manage the risks, and how DSLs can prepare for emerging challenges in these areas.
We will provide the key information DSLs, and school & college leaders and governors, need to know to ensure they are fully up to date with how to respond appropriately to these concerns, as part of an effective whole school/college approach.

Understand what a contextual safeguarding approach is, and how it applies to your setting.
Identify signs and symptoms of how CCE,CSE & County Lines may present in your pupils/students and how to respond appropriately and in compliance with the latest statutory guidance and multi-agency working.
Embed an effective whole school/college approach to ensure a proactive strategy in managing these risks.
