Add session-specific details to your emails
You can now use two new mail merge tags to include occurrence-level information in your emails. This makes it easier to reference a specific session, event, or date within a course.
What’s new
New merge tags available
Two new tags can now be used in all email templates:
- {{occurrence_name}}
- {{occurrence_description}}
When an email is sent, these tags are automatically replaced with the name and description of the relevant occurrence.
More precise email content
These tags are useful when a course has multiple dates or sessions.
- Reference a specific session by name
- Include session-specific descriptions
- Avoid generic or unclear messaging
No changes required
Existing email templates are not affected.
- The new tags are optional
- Educators can add them only where needed
