We’ve updated the naming and structure used for course purchases and course attendance inside the Admin dashboard.
The main change is that Enrollments are now Orders, and the people registered onto courses are now managed as Registrations.
This is an admin-side change. Customers can still book courses as normal, and the customer booking experience has not changed.
What’s changed
📦 Enrollments are now Orders
The Admin dashboard now uses Orders instead of Enrollments.
You’ll see this updated wording across the admin, including in areas such as:
- The main left-hand menu
- Order tables
- Course pages
- Search results
- Filters
- Exports
- Reports
- Related admin views
An Order is the commercial record. It shows what was purchased, who placed the order, payment details, billing details, and the courses or dates included.
🧑🎓 Participants are now Registrations
People registered onto a course or date are now managed as Registrations.
A Registration represents one person registered onto one course or course date.
Registrations are used for course-level details such as:
- Attendance
- Lesson progress
- Certificates
- Registration fields
- Course-specific notes or information
This gives each registrant their own clearer record in the admin.
🆔 Orders and Registrations now have their own IDs
Orders and Registrations now each have their own identifiers.
This makes it easier to:
- Search for a specific record
- Identify an order or registration quickly
- Refer to the right record when contacting support
- Work with exports and reports more clearly
For example, an admin can now refer to an Order when talking about the purchase, or a Registration when talking about a specific person’s place on a course.
Why this matters
This update makes Cademy clearer and more consistent for admins.
Instead of mixing purchase details and course attendance details together, the admin now uses two clearer terms:
- Orders for what was purchased
- Registrations for who is registered onto a course or date
This makes everyday admin work easier to understand and gives Cademy a better foundation for future improvements, including more flexible reporting, automation, integrations, and course management workflows.
Good to know
Customers are not affected
This change only affects the Admin dashboard.
Customers can continue to book courses in the usual way. The public course page and checkout experience have not changed as part of this update.
Some wording in the admin has changed
As this update is rolled out, you may notice updated wording across Cademy.
The main terms to know are:
- Enrollments → Orders
- Bookings → Orders
- Participants / attendees → Registrations / registrants
The features you already use are still available, but some areas may now appear under the updated names.
