About Assistance Dogs Scotland
All our dogs in training go through our two levels of training from Puppy Foundations, Core skills and public access to Assistance training through reward based training. There are assessments through our training programme where you will receive a certificate, pin badge, bandana and a rosette as you pass each level. What Our Assistance Training Programmes Offer? Our programmes are in place to support young people and adults through the highly skilled training of our assistance dogs, mobility assistance dogs and psychiatric service dogs. You will have access to training videos and resources year round, including enrichment, handling, emotional regulation charts and much much more on our website with an exclusive members login area. You will receive a booklet of information from tips on how to prepare you and your dog for the journey ahead to grooming, feeding, welfare of your assistance dog, building your bond, laws and public access guidance. Assistance dog equipment inc. harness, leads, longline, whistle, i.d badges, slip lead, and mobility handle (if required).
