This module will enable you to provide evidence to achieve the practical unit of your assessor qualification, if you assess in a classroom, workshop or centre-based environment.
To achieve this unit, you must gather evidence of working with two learners, where you have planned assessments, carried out assessments, made assessment decisions and given feedback.
You have to provide evidence of using three of the following methods
Observation of the learner carrying out a task in a simulated environment
Questioning the learner
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Case Studies
Projects
Assignments
Skills Tests
For each of the selected methods, you must provide evidence of how you:
Planned Assessment with learners e.g. assessment plan, lesson plan
Carried out assessment of learners, completing the necessary documentation
Made assessment decisions against occupational standards
Provided feedback to learners
Had assessment decisions countersigned by a qualified assessor
You will also demonstrate that you can:
Keep assessment information confidential
Ensure the health, safety and well-being of learners
Ensure learners' individual needs are met (equality and diversity)
Take part in activities to keep CPD up to date including a standardisation meeting
Reflect on your professional practice.
