This module will enable you to provide evidence to achieve the practical units of your assessor qualification:

To achieve these units, you must gather evidence of working with two learners, where you have planned assessments, carried out assessments, made assessment decisions and given feedback.

You have to provide evidence of using a range of methods

  • Observation of the learner carrying out a task in work

  • Producing a work product e.g. document, checklist, e-mail, updating records

  • Questioning the learner about the task

If you use any of the following methods, you may also present evidence of how you use these:

  • Professional Discussion

  • Learner statement

  • Witness Testimony

  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

  • Case Studies

  • Assignments

  • Skills Tests

For each of the selected methods, you must provide evidence of how you:

  • Planned Assessment with learners e.g. assessment plan, review, e-mail, e-portfolio

  • Carried out assessment of learners, completing the necessary documentation

  • Made assessment decisions against occupational standards

  • Provided feedback to learners

  • Had assessment decisions countersigned by a qualified assessor
