Have you ever looked at an intricate quilt and thought you could never do that?
Each quilt begins with one simple block. Put that block with with others and rearrange them, and you begin to create wonderful patterns. That is how a quilt is born!
Join me for Patchwork and Quilting for Beginners and see how, just using two of the simplest quilting blocks, you can create a gorgeous wall hanging or cushion cover.

Choosing Fabric
Cutting Fabric
Basic blocks of patchwork-squares and half square triangles
Sewing block together
Borders
Simple quilting
Finishing as a cushion or wall hanging

This is an in person class held in our Sheffield Studio at SOAR Works
All materials are provided
If you want to bring your own sewing kit (scissors, rotary cutter etc,) and/or sewing machine, you are more than welcome to do so. There are a limited number of machines available to use in the studio. If you want to use your machine, please bring it with you
Tea and coffee will be available in the studio. For a full day class (or when a morning session extends into the afternoon) please feel free to bring a packed lunch. There is a cafe in the building, but please book your lunch on arrival. There are also some shops around the corner where you can purchase refreshments.
