The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, also known as Martyn’s Law, received Royal Assent on Thursday 3 April 2025. It requires certain public venues including Places of Worship and events to improve security and preparedness against terrorist attacks. The Act comes into force in 2027. We are delighted that CST* will be giving two presentations on Martyn's Law and what individual churches in the Standard Tier (200 - 799 individuals may be present at the same time from time to time) need to do to comply and also those with a capacity of 800+.
*Community Security Trust (CST) is a charity that protects British Jews from antisemitism and related threats. SAFE was established in 2019. It shares the CST’s security knowledge with groups outside the Jewish community that are vulnerable to violence, extremism or hate crime. SAFE makes no charge for any of its work.
