Description

Join us for our Diocesan Leading your Church into Growth Conference (LyCiG) from 5pm onwards on Friday 16th October to 2pm on Sunday 18th October, at the High Leigh Conference Centre, Hoddesdon.

The conference offers a unique opportunity to attend with key members of your church or ministry team, alongside others with a similar mindset to focus on mission and spiritual and numerical growth in your context.

LyCiG takes the form of seminars, practical exercises, opportunity to talk with your group and time for personal reflection to enable the learning to be applied to your context. This time, the residential weekend will be supported by 3 evening follow-up sessions, online via Zoom, to keep the learning from the weekend fresh in your minds. Parishes taking part will also have access to LyCiG Local, which enables you to take the learning back to share with your wider parish teams.

“LyCiG opened our eyes to the opportunities God has prepared in our context and what we can do with the resources we have. Within my group, even the slightly sceptical were inspired by the content, delivery, support and also the range of church traditions attending. By far, it was the best thing we have done as a benefice.”

Rev’d Kirsty Wainwright, a past attendee of the conference.

As a mission and ministry team, we strongly believe that this conference can play a key part in the development of healthy, growing, mission focused churches and that is why we have chosen to heavily subsidise the places. The price we are charging is £115 per person for the weekend, instead of the actual cost of £332. There are also a number of free places for under 30's. We encourage you to bring a group of between 3 and 8 people, to best share the learning and be able to implement it in your context more effectively afterwards.

NB. No one can come if their vicar isn’t also attending, as it is fundamental to the course, so sadly we won’t be able to allow bookings without this.

If you would like to talk it through further or require any more information please contact Kate Lomax for parishes in Hertfordshire and Nick Smith for parishes in Bedfordshire.

Please treat your booking as a firm commitment. It's important for your own growth and ministry. Plus, our training and events are funded by parishes, and ‘no-shows’ cost a significant amount of money. So, unless you're unwell or have a family emergency, please honour your booking. If something serious comes up, just let us know as soon as you can.
