Path to Nrtta Sadhana Programme - part 2 of 4
This module consists of 2 x 60 min classes.
The Jade Lady Waving is a kriyā (process) consisting of swaying, waving, and spiralling motions of the hand and arms, coordinated with the breath and driven by the power that lies deep within the lower abdominal region. It is used for harmonising the prānic force and directing it inward, where it can be cultivated for the more subtle practices of hatha yoga.
The Jade Lady is another name for the Kundalini Shakti.
The module will commence with a seated warm-up, followed by a short āsana vinyāsa suitable for this practice, though it can be used with your regular āsana vinyāsa once you have completed the course
Having completed yoga module 2, you will have already been given a personalised āsana practiceI will guide you with the integration of this kriyā with your personalised āsana vinyāsa
More detail on course content can be provided on request
Note: students wishing to proceed with this course must be adept with the shadow yoga preludes, having learned them from an approved shadow yoga teacher. Students must also have a well-established āsana practice.
If you and I are not already acquainted, I would ask that we develop a student/teacher relationship before I accept you onto this course. This can be done via online private class bookings, and by attending in-person group classes and workshops.
There is no substitute for ‘in real life’ tuition. However, in prohibitive situations where you live in another country and it simply isn't possible to attend in-person classes with me, or another shadow yoga teacher, exceptions could be considered.
Discount available for small groups (not available to students booking via Cademy Marketplace):
10% discount p/extra person, p/module for first 3 students (Maximum of 20% discount p/module)
£5 discount when the module is paid for via BACS
No restriction on group size
Schedule:
Although these are private bookings, the dates and times of classes must be committed to upon the commencement of each module and cannot be changed thereafter, extenuating circumstances notwithstanding.
As with all yoga practice, refrain from eating for at least 1 ½ - 2 hours beforehand, Depending on your digestion, it might be helpful to leave even longer; listen to your body.
Always take care to stay within your own personal realm of ability. NEVER push or try to force yourself into a posture as this is when you are most likely to hurt yourself. PLEASE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN BODY. It really isn’t important if you can ‘get into the position’ or not, it’s HOW YOU PRACTICE that counts.
As a rough guide consider this: if you are struggling to breathe properly, you are not practising properly.
If you think they might be necessary, grab yourself some props beforehand and keep them close by just in case. This could be yoga blocks and bolsters etc... but you can make do with folded/rolled up towels or blankets if you don't have any, and if you don't have yoga straps to help you with a forward bend for instance, just use a belt or old tie.
