Description
Our one day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course covers all the subjects required by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to make this an approved course. However, if you have particular risks in your workplace please let us know in advance of the course so that we can tailor your time with us to include training in those area.
This course provides basic life saving first aid skills and knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, covering:
Adult resuscitation (CPR)
Burns and scalds
Choking adult
Communication and casualty care
Defibrillator (AED) prompts and pad placement
Minor and severe bleeding
Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations)
Seizures
Shock
Unresponsive adult
Catastrophic bleeding can be added as an optional module for workplaces that require it following your first aid needs assessment.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will my certificate be valid for?
Your certificate will be valid for 3 years from the date you complete your course. After this time you will need to attend a requalification course to remain valid.
