Course Overview:
The Level 4 in Covert Surveillance Planning and Operations has been developed by Close Protection Academy to provide learners with the knowledge, skills and practical competence required to plan, coordinate and conduct professional covert surveillance operations within the private security and commercial surveillance sector. The programme combines classroom learning with realistic operational exercises covering surveillance planning, intelligence gathering, surveillance methodologies, communications, behavioural detection, counter-surveillance and professional reporting.
On successful completion, learners will be able to conduct lawful, ethical and intelligence-led surveillance operations and produce professional operational documentation. The programme provides a targeted progression pathway specifically designed for existing Level 3 Close Protection Operatives wishing to transition seamlessly into the commercial surveillance sector.

Entry Requirements:
Learners must be 18+ years old
Learners must hold a valid SIA Close Protection License
Must be able to communicate fluently in spoken and written English
Learners must wear appropriate clothing for classroom sessions and have suitable attire for live exercises
Hold a full valid driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
A laptop compatible with Microsoft Word is required for assessments and portfolio work
