Make a Silver Pendant

Description

Design and create your own silver pendant with the help of Charlotte Anne Duckworth, the Bristol silversmith otherwise known as The Silver Duck. Charlotte has been teaching and hosting workshops since 2013. Come along, design and make your very own silver pendant in this three and a half hour workshop.

In this workshop you will have the chance to design your own pendant and Charlotte will take you through the making process step by step. Either cutting out shapes from sheet silver or manipulating wire, you will make your pendant from start to finish.

Designing and creating shapes using a piercing saw to cut out your design and finishing. You'll have the option to apply texture using hammers and stamps and will also get to try techniques like doming and forming to make 3D forms. In the process you'll discover how to solder on jump rings - and you're more than welcome to come along with your own design ideas. Charlotte encourages experimenting in copper before moving into the final design process. 

At the end of your experience you'll finish with a bespoke, handmade pendant, which Charlotte will have a silver chain for you to wear it from.
