What a Wonderful Course! I've practiced anastomosis many times before, but just one week after the course and applying the science of learning model proposed by Prof. Sergeant, my skills have improved by atleast 3x. Wonderful course and fantastic team!

Excellent course. I was very lucky to meet and experience such exceptional delivery of education from highly prolific figures in cardiothoracic surgery. The founders of LSOC are very friendly, co-operative, and provide a great environment and support for students and doctors alike who are passionate about the specialty. I can say with confidence that in one day, from this course I had significantly improved my dexterity skills using novel techniques I learned and highly recommend LSOC overall.

I am not fan of learning by doing blindly. I believe practical techniques should first be learned under the supervision of a professional trainer—initially on non-viable tissue or models, followed by viable tissue (e.g., in a wet lab). Proper technique matters; arbitrary practice is not enough. Every second in the OR counts for the patient. Mastering technical skills improves surgical efficiency while reducing operation time. I am very grateful for the opportunity to participate in this course.

For me, A new comer to the UK and the NHS, It was a very interesting experience. They provide a comprehensive idea about the general rules and principles for Cardiothoracic care, which I am very dedicated to learn about in my beginning of my career in the UK. Thank You!

The course was extremely educational, going through all the basics of the specialty and how to thrive as a CTS SHO. In addition, they offer very comprehensive pre-course learning materials to teach you fundamentals in anatomy and cardiac/respiratory physiology. Overall, I had such a great time learning all the material, and highly recommend anyone wan ting to pursue CTS to attend their basics course.

An excellent course which roughly covers the fundamentals a junior doctor working in CTS should know. Informative & organized with a warm & welcoming environment plus a nice lunch. Wish they could give more time for Pacing as there are a lot of things I want to learn to feel competent about handling pacing box & managing it. A small thing I want to add is just a little bit late starting time & no direction signs/receptionist to ask where to find the course when arrived at the hospital.
