Target Audience: Medical Students to SHOs.

Priority to Foundation and SHO Doctors.

Training will be at an SHO/ST1 Level.

This is an application-only course.

Initial registration does not guarantee a place in a course.

This policy is necessary due to the varying grade requirements for each course. By implementing application-only tickets, we can ensure that participants meet the necessary grade for access to the course. Additionally, we prioritise applicants who are currently in or intend to apply for Cardiothoracic Surgery training.

Beyond these initial prerequisites, all applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

If selected, further information for payment will be sent.

Course places are only confirmed once payment has been received, and the applicant has received a confirmation email.

  • Only the 'Apply' option is available for the ticket. Does this get me a place on the course?

    All requests are initially on an 'Application' basis (unless stated otherwise). Initial registration does not guarantee a place in a course. 

    This policy is necessary due to the varying grade requirements for each course. By implementing application-only tickets, we can ensure that participants meet the necessary grade for access to the course. Additionally, we prioritise applicants who are currently in or intend to apply for Cardiothoracic Surgery training.

  • Can I get a refund if I cannot attend a course?

    Refunds will only be provided if notice of cancellation is received within 2 weeks of the course date. This will result in a 100% refund. Cancellations within 1 week will result in a 50% refund. Refunds will not be provided after this period (<1 week). 

    Please be advised that certain courses may have modifications to these cancellation periods and/or refund arrangements contingent upon the nature or design of the respective course. This information will be explicitly outlined in the course details.

  • Do I need to bring lunch to courses?

    Most courses will have lunch provided. Dietary preferences have been asked when applying for the course. For any course in which lunch is not provided, you will be informed at the time of booking. If any further food preferences/requirements need to be told, then please let us know.
