ADPS – Award for Designated Premises Supervisors Level 3
The Licensing Act of 2003 created a new role for the licensing industry, that of the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS). As well as the everyday tasks and concerns that the DPS will deal with as part of their role the course prepares them to satisfy the requirements outlined by the Licensing Act and also those of the police and other regulatory bodies involved in the industry. The course is essential to those persons named as DPS on a premises licence and will be of interest to Personal Licence holders seeking to improve their promotional prospects.
The DPS Course online is carried out with self-study using the electronic version of the BIIAB handbook. Using the study criteria as outlined by the BIIAB, the learner will answer questions in relation to the course content. An exam will then be carried out remotely when the learner is ready. Contact can be made with a tutor for any clarification or discussion.
